Do guys get complacent in relationships??

I have been dating this guy for 5 months now. He is really sweet and we get along well. He is always telling me he doesn't know what he would do without me, and how much he loves me. He used to always tell me how beautiful I was. He doesn't anymore and I don't know if it is because we have been dating a while or what. This is my first really serious relationship, and I guess I miss the spark that was there in the beginning. He says some nice things, but it is the same things over and over. what can I do about this?

YES absolutely we get complacent, sorry I wish it weren't true but its called being comfortable, which isn't bad that's apart of love. I was just in a situation with my 2 year relationship. I'm not perfect no one is, but I went from telling her all that nice stuff all the time to showing her love in other ways. Always being there for her, picking her up, taking her to school, buying her food, sharing my house so on and so on ( that's how I thought she knew I loved her) but like you say you don't feel the love anymore cause he doesn't say the same stuff like he use to, and that's him being comfortable that he feels he doesn't have to. It doesn't mean he doesn't feel that way. My girl felt like you do but I'm a guy I'm sympathetic to her needs but I'm not a girl so I don't know them unless you tell me. I know you feel like you shouldn't have to ask, but maybe he were I was and thinks everything ok when to you there's a problem. Just talk to him let him know your needs. Don't do what my girlfriend did and start talking to another guy cause He's giving you that attention your missing in your relationship cause its hurtful and its was a tactic used to make me jealous and grab my attention. Not saying you would do that but sh*t happens, she wasn't looking for another guy to talk to he found her, and she got a high from the attention he was giving her that I stopped doing. We talked about it and I realize the problem and that sparks a lot bigger now then it was before and our relationships stronger now.

I can't speak from experience, but every last one of my friends has been in a relationship for at least 2 years. Guys do get settled, not complacent, remember that. Just because he's comfortable around you doesn't mean he doesn't still like you. My friends are the same, they don't say or do much because, being primitive creatures, we feel you already know we like you. If you desire more spark then trust me, all you have to do is ask!

5 months and the spark is gone? NOt a good sign...maybe its time for you to think about how the relatinoship is for you.
