I can only talk out of personal experience. I seem to lean way towards the innocent type, but not if they're annoyingly stupid for lack of better terms. There's a big difference between innocent/naive and ditsy/annoying. If you come off clueless and such, it would get annoying fast.
But I hate confrontation and such, so if a girl pulls the bitch card, I usually lose interest fast. So maybe your issue isn't your personality, but how approachable you are. If a guy can't find an opportunity to approach you, or feels like you don't want him to, he won't. It's that simple.

being naive and "too" sincere is not a turn off. The stupidity you mentioned may be a reason, but I seriously doubt you are actually stupid. Being yourself is always better than being what you think someone else wants you to be.
