Help! Boyfriend deletes selective messages from different chats! Confused as it doesn't make sense and seems extra sneaky?

Help.. My boyfriend went out at the weekend and when he came back he was acting strange, I had a look through his phone (I know bad move) and seen random messages from his friends asking what he was up to or what he got up to on the night out.. I feel like since then he has been weird all week so I looked again at his phone and seen the messages of people asking him about his night out were deleted and his responses.. Does this mean something happened and he's covering all tracks? Why else delete just selective messages instead of the full chat? Any advice would be good!!

Well hows the conflicts are controlled between you and him? Cause his friends are probably the kind that joke and do satyr and if your not the kind who understands. Dirty jokes they probably just are trying to avoid giving you a reason to get angry with him.

I am afraid he is hiding something! In my experience why delete a message with nothing to hide. And now the doubt is there it will never go. He has to be honest with you or the relationship isn't worth considering to continue. It's harsh I know but true

only thing that come in mind he is hidding some thing otherwise why delete but there is a saying ^let the sleeping dog lie^ so dont push this you may loose him

Either jokes or harmless stuff he doesn't want to explain or he cheats on you at least in text messages.
