I recommend five or more. People are always quick to get in a serious relationship, that's not wise. You don't always have to listen to the majority of people. If you really want to find someone to get married too, it takes time and patients. If you are patient (it's not that hard) you will have a beautiful marriage! I promise.
Personally I make the guy wait a whole year before trying to start a relationship. That time of making him wait I'm building a strong friendship and that gives me time to realize if this person is really good for me to spend the rest of my life with him or not and if not we will still be friends and We don't have to deal with a heartbreak.12 Reply- +1 y
Do people still ask " will you be my gf" after school like actually ask it?
- +1 y
@CingardNeverfrost Yes, I would think its cute. As long as you act confident then it will be fine. Nothing is weird about liking someone that you find attractive, it a compliment to them. Just look nice and be polite. You should kind of get to know each other better before asking her to be your girlfriend, because if she doesn't know you that well you will naturally get rejected from her because she has to know she is safe with you.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yMy boyfriend asked me to be his girlfriend before our first date really even started. He told me later that day that he doesn't usually do that but he felt a connection between us and he didn't want to waste any time. We also met several years ago and when we met we had crushes on each other, but lost contact. We recently reconnected and while I don't know how long we'll be together, I've never been happier than I am with him. Sometimes you just know.
While I wouldn't advise asking someone to be your gf/bf on the first date, when you know you know. So, do what you feel is right.10 Reply
There's no specific number, but when you feel connected to her, when you feel like she's the one for you, your expectations from each other match, you get a positive vibe that she'll say yes now, I guess that's the correct time. It's never specific, as in I don't believe in such things, like if you take time, it'll last longer and if you rush, it won't. It's all about how you maintain it later on. You just gotto be sure about her when you start a relationship. What happens next depends on your actions and luck too.

Asker+1 yI've already asked her about many questions and she has the same views as me, our connection is incredible and we talk everyday <3 even though I have only known her for two weeks but I feel it and I'm sure she does
It's her job to bring that up, not yours. Give it a month or two and if things are going well she'll bring it up and want to have the talk.

Asker+1 yMan she legit texts me 24/7 all caring and sweet messages.
It was all going great until she got a text message from a guy whom she hooked up with 3 weeks ago I was with her and she told me about it. I immediately realized how it has affected her.. he treated her like shit.. after going on with her for one week everyday he stopped texting her.
The hoe came back to me today on a text message being and cold and all that. I said what's wrong? She said I prefer to tell you in real life.. I got that strange vibe and I told her noo. I prefer you call me do it.. she spoke to me and started giving me shitty reasons that she seems me as a friend and what not.. we've had sex andi t was perfect..
Then she sent me a text message saying the honesty. She said when I received the message frm that guy when I was with you.. it made her compare between me and him she said.. and realized that it won't work for her?
Asker+1 yBecause she enjoyed her time with him more than me. Even though we literally done many things together in these few days and she seemed happy.. but it was a mask..
- +1 y
It wasn't a mask dude and I know you're hurt and pissed off but she actually did the right thing. From an outside perspective I respect her as a person. You're hurt because your projecting your feelings onto her, what you felt is not what she felt. Yes she could have actually liked you and had some feelings for you, but she just didn't feel as much of a spark or connection with you as she felt necessary for a relationship to work out. Yes, that dude could have treated her like shit or whatever but it doesn't change her feelings for him or the connection she felt. No one likes the feeling of not being good enough or being rejected but she did you a huge favour. If she continued seeing you, your feelings for her would have grown while hers would have stayed about the same. You could have fallen in love with and she probably wouldn't have, I've been through that, trust me you don't want your girlfriend of a year tell you she had to make pretend she was in love with you during the breakup, that

sucks way more than being dumped in the beginning.
So now lets look at you for a second. Why didn't she feel that connection? It could have been something you had no control over like she's really into guys with dark skin and blue eyes or whatever and you're not like that or she likes guys who are jocks or nerdy or whatever. Or you could have turned her off from your behaviour. You need to look at your dates and how you behaved and what you could do better with the next girl.
Asker+1 yBro she would sit and stare in my eyes for hours, only lovers do that I'm seriously fucked because I developed feelings for her.. why would she do that.. its just stupid that one message changed her mind and she made a decision about me and that fucker.. I responded in very mean way to her.. I could seriously never seen any bad in her.. what happened on that day i don't fucking know :(
It's making me think it's a mask because I feel like she been lying to me.. man she introduce me to her friends, showed me her family and everything in only 3 dates..
I felt like this is a revenge from the guy who trashed her and I was the victim of it..- +1 y
It happens man, same thing happened to me a few months ago and it drove me craaazyyy. Met a girl who was in the process of breaking up with her boyfriend, after she broke up we dated for only 2 weeks. Things were going perfectly. I've never had a girl be that into me. She was already telling me that she was falling for me by date 3. She told me she wants me to stay with her forever, that she's never felt this way before, feels like she's known me forever... I can go on but basically she made it sound as if I was her soulmate. Then she used her cousin visiting her as an excuse to ghost me. We got back together almost a month later, date 2 she breaks up with me bc she just got out of a relationship and needs to get her shit together because she doesn't want to hurt me (bs), said she was crazy about me, started crying and wouldn't let me leave. Ended up continuing the date, she told me she wants to visit me when I move (moving to the opposite side of the world), told me I'm exactly the type of

guy she's been looking for and that I check off everything on her list, ended up talking about our future babies and how they would look like what we'd name them, took me back to her place so we can take polaroid pics together to have as a momento, told me she really wants to try again in the future and that it's just bad timing and that she's crazy about me. Contacted her a few days later and she said she needed space. I tagged her on a post in fb after 2.5 months of no contact and she blocked me.
Not going to lie, no girl has fucked with my head more than she did. It is what it is though, she's just not for me even if she led me to believe she was. I'd rather find out that she's full of shit early on than later. Also, I learned a valuable lesson as well and that's to never put your guard down even if you think that what you two have is perfect until you're sure you know who she is as a person. I mean our first date was supposed to be an hour lunch at 2 and we ended up going back to - +1 y
to her place at night and stayed up until 4 am having really deep and personal conversations. I've had the pleasure of experience real passionate romance and even if it was for a short time I'm still grateful for that experience since few people get to experience that level of chemistry/attraction in their life. Sure it ended in a train wreck, but whatever it made me grow as a person. That's what you need to take out of your experience as well. You will eventually find another girl who you have similar chemistry with and who knows you two might actually end up together for the long haul and I find that exciting.
Asker+1 yWow man.. this is really similiar to mine except that mine didn't last for long time.. seriously no girl ever made me feel the way she did.. but I've came to a conclusion that girls themselves really don't know what they want in their lives.. whom they are attracted to.. they would things they don't like and get fucked by guys they never find attractive.. it's so saddening.. I'm happy that it didn't last longer because I can't imagine how my pain would be.. I thought to myself she is the one.. she respond to text quickly she is there for me when I need her.. she listen to me.. but then boom she told me this.. Im thinking to disappear completely from her life and contact her after 2 weeks see if she misses me like that fucker or?
- +1 y
Don't contact her and don't make the same mistake I made. She made her choice so the best thing you can do is move on from her. If she actually likes you and regrets her decision she'll contact you, chasing her will just push her further away. I honestly gave the girl I was dating soooo much space and she still blocked me. She's just not interested dude, I'm sorry, I know it's not what you want to hear, but the sooner you accept that the sooner you can move on. I kept our polaroid pics for months like an idiot because I believed her like a dumbass and had hope. Don't do that to yourself, the longer you hold onto that hope the more painful it's going to be so just do your best to accept that it's 100% over and you will never see or speak to her again.
Yea I get you, I thought that girl was the one as well. Never met a girl who could melt me on the inside just from looking into my eyes as cheesy as it sounds. I'm also sure she believed everything she told me when she was telling me - +1 y
all those things. Fuck it though she changed her mind or whatever and that person I was with might as well be dead because she doesn't exist anymore. I never understood the true meaning of the song "hey Jude" until after that experience, I suggest you listen to it, it might give you a different perspective on things.
Asker+1 yI'll check it thanks.
I'm still not understanding her though. like she haven't removed me from any social media. I didn't felt the need to remove her either.. honestly the sex with her was amazing.. she mentioned that she will like to be my friend.. but I wasn't sure what type of friend she want.. could it be a friend with benefits? Because I never heard of being friendzoned after sex yet- +1 y
You can't understand someone who's confused, so don't bother. If you think you two would have been great together and you saw the love in her eyes then it's her loss. You lost someone who in the end didn't feel you were important enough to be in her life, she lost someone who truly cared about her. You deserve to be with someone who feels the same way about you as you did for that girl, we all deserve that. So forget her. Just cherish those memories for what they were, a happy fling and ignore the bad. You got to spend time and have amazing sex with a girl you found to be atteactive and amazing in every way at the time, I call that a win. Fuck it dude, I'm not going to complain that I got to have an amazing time with and sleep with an incredible woman who to me was a 10/10. So take a sad song and make it better ;). Also, the girl you do end up with will be better than that girl because she's actually truly care about you and love you, I'd take that over a confused girl who doesn't care
Asker+1 yThanks mate you truly cherished me with your words and they are true 😊
I won't be mean to her if she ever initiated and I won't block her either.
The two lessons I learned is I would never pay for dates even though she paid for me a lot and never show my interest in a girl too soon or more than she does because that will push her away.. I made this mistake enough times it never works
Asker+1 yGod damn it man.. I saw her today in public.. I'm pretty sure she saw me too.. she was with her friends
There's no right or wrong answer, just whenever it feels like the right time. Definitely not in the first 1-2 dates though.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yi remember my boyfriend asked me to be his girlfriend on the 5th date. usually 3-5 is the "general" time to ask because on the first date, you don't really get to know the person completely unless you've been with them for a whole day basically

Then after several dates together (3-5 but everyone's different) you should decide for yourself and find out if she has an interest in seeing other people or not. I'm not sure you need to actually ask her to be your girlfriend per se. Just that you only want to see each other.
Asker+1 yI told her I want you to be my girlfriend and we had sex :)
