I feel afraid of having a relationship with any girl!!

actually, hearing my friends to talk about their girlfriend make me anxious, because it reminds me that I don't have any girlfriend yet!

sometimes I think: ''ya now its time for me to have a girlfriend'' but I am afraid of talking to them... it is not that I am afraid to talk to girls but I don't know which type of girl I want! please help me!

I'm 23 and never had a girlfriend.

Up until I was 20, I was terrified of talking to girls. I just didn't know what to say. I had all these assumptions and ideas of what girls were like, and so I always got stuck whenever a girl tried talking to me.

And then I met this girl, and me and her became really close friends. She completely changed the way I viewed girls, and after that I realized girls were not as scary as I thought they were, and not that hard to talk to.

So my suggestion for you would be to first find a girl FRIEND, who is just a friend and nothing else. It's really easy to find one, but you have to make sure of one thing - she is your friend, and will NEVER be something else. So don't expect to go further with her, even if it turns out you DO like her.

Once you've made friends with this girl, I promise you things will get a lot easier. I know, I still don't have a girlfriend, but that's because of a choice I've made, I don't think I am ready for one right now. But I feel very confident that the day I'm ready, I'll be able to find one. All thanks to that girl I became close friends with. =p

I don't think its true that people have types... I have a friend who says her "type" is blonde and blue-eyed but has always dated guys that are the opposite!

You just know if you are attracted to someone. Then befriend them, get to know them and see where it goes. And I know what you mean... I am yet to have a boyfriend and hear my friends talking about them and feel left out, worried it will never happen (I'm 17 btw). But at the same time, the suggestion of a guy potentially liking me terrifies me! Having your first relationship is a big step to take, especially if you are, by nature, quiet or shy.

So don't look for a type and just become friends with some girls that you like and who knows? Maybe an attraction will stem from a friendship?

That's what dating is for - figuring out what you want. Some people think they know what they want and are surprised that they are unhappy when they get it, while others just go with the flow and figure it out with experience.

well there never is a time to have a girlfriend. its about finding someone you enjoy being with. so if you just want a girl to hook up with and be a booty call, then there might be a time for that. but just wait, your perfect girl will come soon enough :)
