LUV YA vs. I LOVE YOU

There's a guy friend I kind of have feelings for, but I never pursued for various reasons. Every time I talk to him on Facebook chat, I'll say something like "luv ya" or "later buddy, love u". However I word it, he always writes back saying "I love you too." Most of the things he writes to me are in abbreviated text message talk, but he always writes out that one thing completely. I was wondering if it means anything. What do you guys think? Should I talk to him about it, and what should I say?
It definately means something.
It doesn't mean anything, you're reading too much into it.
