Difference between I love you and I love u.

My boyfriend has been calling me love lately. For example he says what you up to love or goodmorning love. Wouldn't it be more romantic if he said my love instead of just love? Also when saying I love you he always spells it as I love you or love u. Sometimes I write it like that to but didn't know if there was a difference?

Two letters xD. He could be in a hurry, he could like mixing things up, not doing everything the same, he could be uncomfortable and write u, he could not be sincere which I doubt if he's telling you both.

Keep in mind this is how some people text these days and try not to misinterpret anything. It's hard to tell a lot of things in texts, no tone of voice, facial expressions too go on.

If his actions show then I'd say the two letter difference doesn't really mean anything, the likely explanation is that it really doesn't. I just listed some possible things I thought it might be.

He's telling you that he loves you, sounds like every day. I know some girls who would kill for that.

honestly, she's not completely overthinking.
taking the extra time to make a text seem more heart-felt and loving is a big deal, especially if texting is your main way of communication. it might not mean anything of course, and he might just be saving some extra time by leaving out a few letters but some girls are very insecure- they'll question every little thing about a person they love. they could start spiraling in their head about things like "oh, does he not care enough to make it seem sweeter for me?" "oh, am i bothering him?" "is he in a rush and is he doing something more important?" some of these things may actually be true for the guy texting but you're right- its not always the case and some people just dont see a difference between "u" and "you".

Just because he didn't type out the two extra characters in you, doesn't mean he loves you less. All that matters is that he's saying it.
