To you personally, how important is physical affection in a relationship?

How important is hand-holding, cuddling, hugs and kisses , and could you stay in an affection-starved relationship?

Personally i thrive on affection. I love giving and receiving all kinds of affection.

It's very important, it's like the outward expression of what's in the heart. Yet it isn't the proof of love a person shows that in how they speak to you and treat you. Affection is a barometer of how the relationship is going at that given time. You know they love you but when the affection is less than normal it's time to talk and find out what they are feeling did you do something ti slight them or are they just feeling blue? I love him being affectionate, so I always do whatever I can to keep the little things from gettin in the way!

Not that important to me. I probably would forget to cuddle and stuff all the time if he didn't initiate as much as he does. I mean, I do it because he likes it, but it isn't an issue to me if we don't often.

Pretty damn important but kinda wish it wasn’t. We are mammals and designed to want/need and preoccupy our thoughts and motivations based on sex if healthy and young. It’s natural. I would like to think I’m bigger and wiser and risen to a higher level to not need it, but I would be just kidding myself like many others

Very, very important. In a LDR it's impossible to feel it the same way anyone would feel it physically, but been sexually open in a LDR, although it has a clear disadvantages, it has enough power to keep the relationship afloat. Even a LDR can´t live without affection.

it is part of being in love.. The touching or smell attracts you that person. Watch a mother with her baby the way she cuddles plays talks.. the baby responds and gets to know her mother and they bond usually for life.
