Why would my ex boyfriend send a friend request to my sister on Facebook?

I broke up with him a week ago and I ended up blocking him due to him taking digs at me through posts on his wall and trying to hurt me and make me jealous with those posts.

A week later and he just sent my sister a friend request, seems weird when we are not together anymore and I've blocked him both on Facebook and Messenger. He never attempted to friend request her the past 10 months we have been together, so why now and extra strange he has only ever met her once and that was like 8 mths ago.

She blocked him straight away.

What do you think he was up to?

He was trying to make you mad/get a reaction from you or even better, he probably hoped you might get into an argument with your sister over him.

Yes perhaps he was thinking I would find out naturally and I would send him a text opening up the lines of communication whereby he may have tried to diffuse me enough to work his way back in and sucker me into giving him another chance. The thought did cross my mind, very narcissistic of him!
