Why are older brothers so damn over-protective?

It` s like your sitting in a car with them and their dropping you off and if another guy just looked and he was like ` what's that prick looking at?` or if your with them and some just guy makes convo with you they be like ` come on, lets go`

I`'e seen this happen with so many older brothers. they are just so over protective. It` s like chill out!

I don't "think that way" and have never thought "that way" but yes, some do. Most brothers & fathers go batsh*t at the thought of their little daughter/younger sister becoming sexually active with a guy who is an unknown quantity. Once they meet him or figure out who he is then it's usually okay, but not always. Some never get over it. My girlfriend is nearly the same age as me, yet her 33 year old brother still feels the need to threaten me over nothing.

Like I said, some guys are just really possessive, don't want to see their little sister/daughter "grow up," or they think guys are 100% evil, sex-crazed lunatics. Usually a combination of all 3.

I can't control my sister and I won't try for fear of having my balls clawed off. Just tell your brother to back off and give you some space, he should still want to e protective but he will try to stay out of things if he's a half decent person.
