As a man who has been the cuckold a few times. I can tell you this. It can not only destroy a relationship, if done properly it can also make it stronger and much more fulfilling.
All you need to destroy it is some jealousy, that's easy. However to improve a relationship this way requires both partners be 100% open and honest about the experiences, no matter how hard it is to talk about. It will get easier in time.
This eliminates the need to cheat behind you back, lying about things is no longer necessary. If the cuckold gets involved she is far more likely to orgasm and as long as they are the team and don't allow another guy between them, the relationship can get stronger. Mine did. Yes, affairs do happen, but they are still not all that common for women. Men are still much more likely to stray in relationships in many cultures.

I am not sure that love prevents it.
