She likes me, but doesn't want a long distance relationship.

I dated this girl back in high school for about 2 months. This was around 5 years ago. After we broke up I stopped talking to her until one day I get a text from her out of nowhere saying how she's sorry that me and my current girlfriend had broken up.

After that we started talking again until I made the suggestion that I come up and see her at her campus( about 2 hours away). I go up and visit her and have the one of the greatest weekends of my life; not to mention seeing how this girl has really changed.

We're flirting, and having great conversations and playing around ( not sexually, but like splashing water and toying with each other). I finally get the nerve to ask her if she wants to date again and she replies " maybe, I just don't do long distance". I understand why she wouldn't want to have another long distance relationship ( previous boyfriend of 1+ year lived in another state). But at the same time I don't live that far away...Should I keep pursuing her or do I let the whole thing go? She has mentioned to me that she just wants to be friends, but I was getting such a good vibe from her that I'm unsure.

Just as a side note: I'm pretty good at trusting my gut, and I know she has some feelings for me. When it was 2 am and we were both falling asleep she would look at me and smile..then quickly look away. We both did this to each other for a good 2 hours.
