Why do guys turn evil after a break up?

LONG LONG LONG story short...

I was with this guy for a year, we were very in love. Things started to go bad and we broke up. Since then he has varied between wanting to be friends and communicating (even wanting to spend time together) to hating my guts, sending mean and insulting emails and hurting my feelings on purpose. Twice he has come to my apartment to drop things of but won't even knock on the door, just leaves the stuff like he don't even want to see my face, don't want me to open the door and see him for even a moment.

He always used to say that he would never have the strength to leave me, that he loved me too much even with our problems. Now after we broke up he says he has no love at all, and then he will say yes he loves and misses me but too bad, and now its back to no feelings at all...

This has happend to me before, the guy breaks up with me and then turns evil. NO JOKE I did nothing to deserve it... I don't cheat, I don't control, I bend over backward for my guy, I always put him first and am there for anything he needs even if we fight or I am mad. I don't yell, I don't call names (EVER), I don't insult. I can honestly say I don't to any of the things most people do when they are mad. I just try and try to be nice and good. And as much as a break up hurts, I never think of my ex as my enemy... So why do they?

My experience was worst because I had to almost see my ex everyday. I was her client. But I was never evil to her even after the break-up. I just would give her a weak smile and hi. I was very UN-comfortable and so was she. I am older now and in my 30's and sadly, most men act like boys. Not to go against my own kind, I notice that men can't let go of such paltry things at times. I understand a break-up may take anywhere from months to a year to get over, but men are just always trying not to look hurt. Take it from me I notice that nobody can say sorry anymore or just try to work things out. People just want to like fight these days. I am regretful that I wasn't man enough to face my ex even months after the break-up. But we all learn and grow up. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Try smile and be nice to our ex guys, even if she doesn't deserve it. All I have to say is we need more men in this world and not boys.

I had this problem too with my ex ex! things started to go bad for us, so we kind of drifted apart. He would send me hateful text messages and call and leave me mean voicemails, just because he wanted to and he knew it hurt me. What I did was acted like I didn't care. Made myself look happy when I was out, even though I wasn't because I was always things about what he said to me that day. And as soon as he saw me out, the next day I would get a text asking me to hang out with him, or him apologizing sayin he was sorry and then he would be fine for 2 days, and then he would start all over again. Its a cycle ... and sometimes they get pleasure out of hurtin you, or makin you cry. Its not you sweetie, its him. he needs help ... BAD ! that's wha tmy ex did, and we are now friends and talk everyday :) so keep your head up and try not to let it get to u, it 'll show him, You DONT NEED NO MAN! I promise :)

Yea he did. He just wanted to hurt me. It was all for a purpose and it was to kill me on the inside. He used me, made me think that I meant something, and then a few days later, I was trash again. But I finally put ym foot down and told him if he evvver wanted anything to do with me again, then he needed to get his sh*t straight because I WAS NOT going to keep talking ot him with him treating me the way he did. He got the picture, talked to some people, went and got mental help and now we're good!

yes, I know the reason they do it is to hurt you but what I don't understand is why... honestly part of me feels like I HATE my ex but I still can't stand him hurting... I don't even like to hurt people I don't like, there's just no point. if you once loved the person why WANT to hurt them?

only one guy dared to send me a hate email calling me names you can't even imagine. he called me a whore, dirtbag, no self respect, easy, disease carrier, attention seeking slut, etc! but I told him off in his face. and the douche can't even look at me in the eye. I told him to leave me alone and get out of my life and stop stalking me!

He used to treat me like a princess and adored me. he even proposed to me EVEN WHEN I am with somebody. SO DOES HE. he stole me a kiss when he was helping me move stuff. he said he loved me. until his friend came along and had an interest with me, he went crazy.

fyi, not all guys turn evil after a break up. just this ONE asshole/loser.

I think sometimes that it's just easier to hate the person then cope with how hurt you are without them. You didn't do anything wrong. He is just taking the break up really hard. And since he is dumping your stuff off and avoiding you like a plague, he is trying to get his message across so you'll definitely notice. He is trying to get a reaction out of you to know you still care. Just give him time, that's all you can do.

Not all guys are like that. But, it seems like his sadness and hurt turned into anger and hatred. That's just him. And the other dudes you dated.

There are quite a few guys out there that end things on good terms.

As sad as it is sometimes this is how they deal with their hurt and he probably isn't over you and maybe seein you is hard for him..(eek am I defending...o.O) and I guess too it depends on the reason for the break up..who ended it and why I would just leave him be and maybe in due time he might come around ...

Not all men turn evil after the break up. Only some guys/girls do because they are upset the relationship is over, resent you, or feel betrayed.
