I don't mean making up for someone else's crime, but more along the terms of "would you risk doing something that would land you in jail" if it meant standing up for/defending your best friend.

I don't think I would but it depends what it is. Of course I don't have a close friend that I love very much right now. I did have one close friend that I loved but she cut me out of her life without explanation after 16 years. For her - I might have been willing to face jail time but not if it meant doing something unethical. For example if we had a corrupt government that wanted to jail me for buying her food when she is starving - I would probably risk jail time for her but I would not rob a bank to help her pay the bills or kill somebody to defend her reputation if she was being slandered etc...

If they committed a crime , i wouldn't do their time. They'd have to face the consequences of their own actions. I wouldn't have my own freedom taken away to give them theirs

But if someone i love was murdered and there was no justice , i'd seek my own kind of justice, even if it meant i went to prison for life

  For example, would you beat someone up if they did something horrible to your friend? Or would you cover for them/lie for them if they committed a crime? I don't know what any of the sentences would be so I can't answer that

  Well, I don't think I would fully beat someone up unless it was self defense, but I have hit someone before because of how they treated someone I cared about. And I would lie for a friend if the crime wasn't a big deal or if I think it was justified.

It depends on what they did and how close we are.

Most likely I’ll go to jail WITH my friends because we tend to dumb shit here and there and most of the time I’m with them, either a look out or apart of it.

But if I know I have a better chance fighting the charges then them then yeah I’ll take the fall

Thats retarded. If the person you care about lands you in such a situation, they didn't deserve your love in the first place. Yes. If we're speaking in terms of self-defense, I'd bash another person's head in just to defend them in a situation where even the police couldn't possibly intervene on time.

Nope I doubt it it’s not my shit to deal with. If they did the crime then they do the crime. I know media like glamorizing it but it’s probably a lot worse than that prison break included.

Yeah for my loved ones I would do terrible things if anyone hurt them. So in answer to your question jail is a maybe only if I got caught. If you aren't willing to anything for your loved ones then you don't love them enough

And who its for family yeah I'll go down for.. but anything life I would expect them to come forward and cop to they own shit.. now Friend's they already know you did it you go down... and as for my significant other everything and anything so long as it was for us or to help us yeah

Best friend, no. Wife, maybe. I might be willing to risk going to jail to protect both, but if going to jail is a guarantee, maybe only my wife could warrant such a sacrifice.

I'd defend my friend but still if he has done something horrible then I won't be able to defend him I'll be at a disadvantage and also he'll need to take responsibility for his crime and if it isn't then why not?

Depends. Like my sister did 2 months for her husband but then his job required a clean record and if she didn't they'd have no money. Plus although he committed the crime she was more than willing to reap the benefits.

Depends on the situation mostly but if it was a weekend or maybe a month in jail I probably do it any longer than that it would have to be a very interesting situation for me to consider taking that punishment.
