If your Best Friend committed a Crime what would you do?

No I'm not in this predicament, but just out of curiousity how wouuld you react?

Let's say your closest friend, so close they're family to you, broke into someones home, robbed a store, or murdered someone.

And they told you about it, How would you react?

Would you freak? Would you scold them? Would you congradulate them? Would you have been a part of it or want to join them if they did it again?

Most Importantly, Would you do the right thing? By that I mean would you have their back and keep it a secret or would you report them?

When I say the wrong or right thing I'm simply asking for your opinion, because let's face it everyone isn't going to agree on this!

So... How would YOU React and What would YOU Do?

I'd stay loyal to my friend!

I'd turn them in!

it depends. how close I am to them and what they did. if my sister killed someone I wouldn't tell. I would probably help her hide. I also don't want to be a rat. there's lots of laws to break. if someone I know hurt someone else, I would probably do something about it. but if they stole something, I would leave it alone. not my business. but I would have to step in if people were in danger. the only exception I can really think of is my sister or if my boyfriend became my husband. I know the right thing to do would be to tell. but I care more about those people than I do for anyone else.

If they committed a serious crime that has affected many others, then I would only tell the police if they come to me. You understand that you can get in BIG trouble if you do not turn someone in or at least tell the truth if they committed a serious crime. I would scold them and give em a big slap in the face. I believe the right thing is to make sure to look out for yourself first. Is it worth taking a chance of going to jail because you did not turn them in for a serious crime? nope. I do not care if it is a family member. If you committed a crime...you pay the time.

If it was something harmless, I'd definitely stay loyal to my friend. If they killed someone.. not so much. The details matter a lot, too. Like if it was an accident/self defense. Ha, that sounds bad. I guess I'm just pretty loyal. I've seen cops do more harm than good, so it take a lot for me to turn to them.

If it resulted in hurting someone, I'd encourage them to right their wrongs. If it was a "victimless crime" I'd tell them they're an idiot and not to do it again.

Unless there was a really good reason, I wouldn't tell anyone else about it.

Depends on the crime and the reason. In general I would like to stay out of it.

If it was murder for no reason or some silly reason, I will probably call police. If they had a good reason for the kill (that person committed a crime against him of his family and got away with it for example), I would just say "Okay" and try to change the subject. I don't want to deal with things that are none of my business.

I'm sure my best friend would never come to me with this type of thing and expect me to stay silent about it. They would know that my loyalty to my country trumps all and I would urge them to step forward and confess to any crime they have done. Should the crime be a major one, I would give them an ultimatum in which to confess it to the police or I would turn them in.

If it was something minor like a b nd e or robbery I'd just call them an idiot. If he murdered someone it's likely I'd turn him in unless it was a very special circumstance where like someone like did something terrible to his family or w.e and then somehow beat it in court and got away with it.

i don't got time to be friends with trouble makers! I have to older brothers who practically suck ass at life thanks to themselves choosing the types of people they decided to make their so called friends themselves.

Murdering someone and claiming their property as hers is a big no no, this is really cruel.

depends on the crime, some laws I don't agree with, If I feel this person is a danger to others then I may rat them out. also depends on how close this friend is.

I guess it depends on if there is a reward for their capture. I would likely turn them in if there was one.
