Boyfriend wets the bed after partying?

This has only happened once or twice, but when my boyfriend has gotten very drunk he wet my bed. Once was only a little. But last night he soaked the sheets. He tried to hide it from me but I knew what had happened, I just didn't know what to say. Early on we were sharing stories and he told me that one time he wet a girl's bed and it was really embarrassing, but we've never talked about it when he's done it with me.

This seems to be a recurring problem for him that happens only when he drinks too much. I always feel like he's just as drunk as everyone else, but if he's getting so drunk he wets the bed I feel like he might have a problem. Plus, I don't want him ruining my mattress or waking up in his pee. I just have no idea what to say or how to bring this up. Help please!

well first remember that its not his fault (the not being able to wake up part). but since this is a problem with him, he needs to take steps to deal with it. this means (as one of the girls said) not drinking so much, sleeping in a different/protected bed when he does, and getting him to use the bathroom before he goes to sleep (or if you think he's about to sleep soon).

just talk to him about it and I'm sure he'll be willing to work it out. the most important thing you need to do is to convey to your boyfriend that you're not mad at him and that its okay. you have to do that because this is no doubt embarassing for him and its difficult for him to talk about it. so you have to make him feel comfortable telling you about it.. so make sure you let him know that you're okay with it, but some things have to be done to handle it... good luck :)

I've never done this, but I know of about 4 of my closest friends who have done this to their boyfriends. And their boyfriends have done it as well. So don't think you're alone, it happens all the time. What you do is, just tell your boyfriend that he doesn't need to be embarrassed, you just need to work out the problem.

He can either:

a. not get that drunk anymore

b. choose to sleep with you in his bed when he does

c. choose to sleep alone in his own bed when he does

If he chooses to sleep in his own bed make sure he invests in a good mattress cover and you should probably do the same.

No one likes waking up in pee so I'm sure he'll understand were you're coming from.

I think that he needs to stop drinking to the point of wetting the bed. Mainly because if he can't wake up to go to the bathroom when he needs to that's kinda dangerous. Just tell him you are concerned he has a drinking problem and talk to him about it. Don't make it about the mattress, make it about fixing the problem.
