I hung up on boyfriend after he said something really rude, should I call back or should he?

Sooo... I've been with this guy Long distance since September of 2018. Today we got into a fight on FaceTime because I told him I don't want him to address me like I'm his friend or just anyone (ex. "Whats up man?") I told him it should come naturally for him to want to address me like im his girlfriend (which he usually does by saying baby or other nicknames). HE then told me that he's "willing to talk to me about my issue with him but its not something he believes in". So I said ok then have a good f*****g day and hung up

We both apologized to each other and he said he realized he was the one who started the argument bc he was in a bad mood before we started our FaceTime call. Love conquers all and I'm happy we both are maturing as time goes on In our relationship (I am his first girlfriend and he's my second)

He should ditch you. This single life we have is precious. There is no time to be wasting it with any drama, pettiness or demands. If you want him to refer to you as a girlfriend then start acting like one. Learn to flirt, build sexual tension on the phone, push the boundaries a little. But it's probably too late for that now.

If he usually does call you the way you like to be called, and sometimes doesn't, it seems that you could let it slide the few times he doesn't. He obviously makes the effort the majority of the time.

it's the way he does it. I always make an effort to address him how he likes to be addressed like baby or papi but when I tell him I want it the same way it doesn't come natural to him. shouldn't something like that come natural to you when you're in love?

What comes natural to one person, or to women, may not come natural to another person or a man. Yes, it would be better if he used the name you like, but he made a mistake. That's not a reason for a big argument. it is reason to talk about it, and how you feel disrespected when he doesn't use the term you like, when talking to you. Understand, that not everyone has the same social skills that you have, and your husband apparently does not. Give him more time to learn, and help him learn in a kind way. He is obviously trying, as he does it 75% of the time. He just needs to work on the last 25%. Tell him you appreciate that he tries, and does it 75% of the time, but you would feel much better if he would work on doing it all of the time.

but the thing is I literally never complain to him about anything, its rare that I do and this is something I've told him that bothers me. I respect his wishes even if they may seem weird or unnecessary so why can't I get the same in return?
