Yes, and I'm not sure that it was a compliment because I eventually realized that she is mentally ill: borderline personality disorder. She was a very high IQ, introverted, quirky female and we ultimately had too much conflict, but there were times that I thought I understood her fairly well.

Yes. A few of my friends.
Though I must confess, my first inclination is to reply, "If I'm the only one, you're probably not communicating yourself very well. "
I think so, but I don't say that often myself. I've only ever said that to one person in my life and I really meant it lol.
Nope but have been told its weird how much we are alike but tons of people. Maybe im just relatable I don't know,?🤷♀️

Yeah, and I was a bit embarrassed by it because it was a girlfriend that said it. She had a different relationship with me than she did with other people.
Yes. I've also said that to someone.
Yes. It's a flattering and humbling statement, if true.
I think many people really need someone like that in their life - they want to be understood, they want their struggles to be understood, they feel like an outside observer who truly gets them and understands them can help them make sense of things when things are senseless.I’ve been told that, along with “It’s like we have known each other our whole life.”
It comes from being an active listener. Being able to tune into the other persons feelings, and connecting with them at an emotional level.
Do this, and they will share new things, or things they would not normally not share with others.I have been told this before by someone. I'm very intuitive, I usually can read people like an open book. Just by ordering a sandwhich, I can tell what area of the country they are from, based on what they put on it. Once they tell me a little about themselves or hardly anything, I can usually tell what kind of life they had and what their fears are. Why they are a certain way. I found out people don't like being randomly read.
Yes, a coworker was complaining one day how no one can understand the way he thinks. I laid it out for him and he turned around stunned and said "Finally! Someone understands what's going on in my head" 😂😂
I say it to a lot of people and its reassuring when someone says it back to you, you get that level of relief and joy that you're not the only one with the same thoughts.
Yeah, but only drunk women, and they were just trusting me to get them home safe, as the designated driver!
Yeah, translation " I annoy everyone else so much they've stopped listening, so now i'm to try to flatter my way into you being the person I put all my woes on". Lol
Yes. But i don’t take it so seriously as other people would
