Some do, some don’t. Also depends what you mean by “younger.” Younger than us, who are in our 40s? Or like YOUNGER? If I were single right now, I wouldn’t even consider like 18-24, the younger end of that spectrum would be kinda weird for me age-wise, and the older end, not as much, but I still think there’d be too much of a disconnect in terms of where our lives were at, and also, if you want to consider the hopeful long haul, I’d widow the chick a clean 15-20 years early. 25-30 is more doable, but still a little young for me, functionally. These women are all aesthetically still attractive at those younger ages, but we’re just at a point where I think that’s all that really works out. 30-35 is probably my sweet spot for younger women. My girlfriend now is 35, and it works. It worked when we met, when I was 27 and she was 22, when we were still just young guns. So I guess if I were 45, I’d shoot for 35-40 if you’re looking for younger, unless you’re after objectively YOUNG women, in which case, let us know if you figure out the secret lmao.
@DianaWest There’s nothing wrong with it, they’d totally be in play. But this discussion is strictly about women who are younger than the man. I left out ages 41-44 as younger women for a 45 year old because that’s really almost a negligible difference.
Yes and no. Every woman is different. Some do and some don’t. I am an older gentleman and have a younger wife. I have dated several younger girls and what they like is the security that an older man can bring. They like the experience in bed an older man has (not all but some). Older men can be less jealous and over all more loving. With age comes wisdom and that includes the knowledge of how to treat a woman.
false, for me at least. i'm 20, and any guy past 30 is a no-no for me. I don't like guys to be much younger than me, but if they're 25, 26, whatever. as long as he's kind and smart and hot (in this order). then again, a small portion of people with big age gaps really do love each other. but my eyebrows start to raise when I see a 30 year old with a 60 year old who just so happens to be a millionaire. wow. I personally don't see the appeal in older men. I know some women think it's because they're more "mature," but I find guys my age a lot sexier on average. funny thing is that guys my age never approach me. it's always 40 year old greying dudes that hit on me.
also: i have to admit, i have seen a lot of older guys that i found very hot. guys in their forties and fifties, even late 30s. BUT: here's what takes away the attraction: i think about 10 years from now. 10 years from now, i'll be 30, and he'll be 60.
Men who are older are more likely to have more money and stability, and also are more mature. This is the main reason why it's much more common for women to date older men than younger men. Still, the opposite is quite common. In fact all of my past girlfriends were older than me.
Can’t say I’ve ever really thought about it. Significantly older? Nahhh cuz I just won’t have much in common with them. A bit older like maybe 3-5 years possibly. Turns out I went for a guy a few years younger so idc really.

I’m not into older men but am married to one. I didn’t fall for him because of his age, but for who he is as a person. But then again I probably wouldn’t have liked him romantically when he was my age from the stories he has told me. So who knows 🤷🏻♀️. He doesn’t look old though, he takes better care of his body than most my age.
Mostly false. On dating sites very few women indicate interest in dating a man more than ten years older. Sure, some very high status men can attract desirable younger women. But mostly no. I'm out a lot and rarely see May-September couples.

Well, people get pissed off about generalizations / stereotypes because there are always exceptions so they don't apply to everyone in a demographic category. But, there is usually a lot of truth in stereotypes and that is why they exist in the first place. That is certainly true of this one, and there are plenty of studies that confirm it.
In general, older guys are attracted to younger women and younger women are attracted to older guys. It's human nature.

Older men are more settled, unhurried and tender lovers
but it doesn't make any sense though. If you are willing to grow old with someone, then why not start dating someone who's 23 if you love them? you're telling me that as a 40 year old man, the only women you'll be dating will be 18-22? yikes. better start digging the gold if you wanna keep attracting them.
@DianaWest in my opinion 22 is the cut off. Usually girls that make the best wives and mothers are married by that age. The ones that aren't, are not going to make the best wives and mothers. So i want to grow old with someone who is awesome. Love is really irrelevant, if someones a great wife and mother i wouldn't be able to not be in love with them. Someone who isn't that great i could never love.
But your point about making money to get gold diggers is so wrong. You think that. There are sweet innocent good hearted women who wouldn't even have that thought cross their mind. Thats who im interested in, girls like that.
@bamesjond0069 okay, i respect that. you can live your life how you want. but it's a bit extreme to expect all 22-year-old married women to make "good wives." most women at that age need to establish a stable career, ensure a steady income, before settling down, buying a home, and having a child. how is a 22-year-old ready to start a family when they're barely out of college? not saying it can't happen, but your expectations are high.
@DianaWest why do they need a career? One of the best things about an age difference is at my age i make a good stable income. I dont need a second income. There are women who have no interest in a career and would love to just have kids and be a very involved mom. Thats the kind of girls i date.
@DianaWest not all 22 year old and younger wives are good wives but all the best ones are part of that group. And when i say best i say most fertility, least sexual history. There's more to it than that but those two factors drive benefits other than the obvious.
