Women expect us to guess their emotions. Classic example: Woman gives silent treatment. Man asks if she is ok and she says "I'm fine". That is a huge trap for a man with a lose-lose scenario. We either try to understand her and piss her off more or we ignore her and piss her off more. Long drawn out fight either way, then she FINALLY tells you what is wrong and gets EVEN MORE ANGRY that you did not read her mind and guess what is wrong. You fight over that but are wrong even when you are right. Then you argue over that before FINALLY addressing the original issue that she lied and said "I'm fine" for. You come up with solutions but she does not like them so she calls you crazy, immature, selfish, a pushover or something like that. You try to prove her wrong and she gets even more mad. You lose your patience and go hang out with the boys to cool off. When you get back she argues with you over leaving before things are resolved. You try to keep quiet hoping she will finally shut up and she accuses you of not caring. This vicious cycle continues until you finally lose your mind, then she makes you out to be some crazy abusive psycho and either puts you in jail or takes half your shit. Lol this is obviously a joke but hopefully illustrates to women how frustrating they can be sometimes. When a man is upset and a woman asks what is wrong he will tell you in as few words as possible and probably thank you for asking and get over it quickly. On a serious note I think gender does not matter for who is more manipulative.

It depends on the situation. In love relationships, I would say men because they use and dump women after treating them like objects.

Other than that, women are manipulative against each other because of jealousy and competition.

For example: mother-in-law, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, step mother, step sister and in my case real biological mother. They always used the mother card.

Women also oppress each other. A man might hit his wife because his mother and sister complain.
A man might hit his children because their step mother complains.
My dad almost murdered me because my mom turned him against me.

Manipulation isn't a bad thing. It has a bad rep because a lot of people use it to hurt others or take advantage. Romance is a kind of manipulation.. people show only the good traits in the beginning because when love is in theyll be more accepting of the bads.

I'd say women are more likely to be manipulative simply for the fact that their stats in that area are higher. Where a man can rely on brute force, a woman often cannot, leaving her with other options, like manipulation. Girls have massive influence over men, making manipulation a fine choice. At the end of the day both genders can be extremely effective manipulators, but I think women because of the gifts they have been given by biology have the upper hand in that department.

In general, women. That doesn't mean all women are manipulative or that no men is manipulative. Just overall women are more manipulative than men. Men just get physical and solve their shit that way. Women just manipulate their way out of situations.

And it makes sense. Women are physically not as strong as men, so women sought other ways to win battles or fights, thus using emotions and thus using manipulation.

Seeing as how there are more men than women in positions of power, I would by far say men by a landslide. Politicians, CEOs, these are some of the most manipulative people in the world and they are mostly men.

However, ignoring that, it depends on the person, gender has nothing to do with it.

Females: They have to be for evolutionary purposes because, physically, they are not as strong as us. Because we have the strength advantage, we are usually more straightforward and assertive. For a female to overcome that and get her way, she may use deceptive or manipulative tactics. My wife does it all the time.
