I wouldn't be able to stand a clingy SO. The moment I find out that they are clingy I would probably distance myself before breaking it off completely. I'm not trying to be mean or anything but with how I grew up... I would appreciate it if my SO would respect my boundaries and to give me the space I need. I want someone who can trust me and not constantly call or text me to see where I am and how long I'm planning to be there especially if we were not going to hang out that day. If I am hanging out with friends I haven't seen in a while and I want to spend time with said friends I don't want my SO to invite themselves or expect me to invite them. There is a time that I will spend with them and time where I want to spend with friends and family by myself. I also dont want to be called every or other hour. I will not pick up the phone if there is no need for me to. I expect them to call me if there is an emergency, if they are having problems at home, or if thw call was planned by both of us but calling me over nothing? No. Especially if they know that I am working. I enjoy having my space since it's something I had the luxury of having growing up.

It really depends on how you feel about the person. Being clingy is not automatically a negative thing.

I think, as you get older, you learn to appreciate those who enjoy your company so much they want to be around you. But there are levels to it.

If someone is being clingy to the point that it is detrimental to your own emotional well-being, there needs to be communication about how that's not okay.

Communication is the key in any relationship, but I feel, more often than not, it's something that is often times forgotten or ignored.

I mean, if you're BOTH just the right amount of clingy then it can be a deep, passionate love. But if either of you is deriving your identity from the other then it's not healthy. Be able to stand on your own first. If you have feelings like you, "can't live without" the other person then it's time to talk to a therapist. I mean that sincerely.

I've talked with my boyfriend about why he feels clingy, like what he needs in order to feel ok. For instance if I take the initiative to call him at least once a day on my own time it's easier than him feeling like he has to call me 50 times when I'm busy

ADDRESS HIS/HER INSECURITIES. If you think that your boyfriend is worth the effort, try and address his/her deep-seated insecurities that make him/her so needy.
TELL HIM/HER TO LAY OFF. Tell your guy/girl in plain terms that you need your space.
ENCOURAGE HIM/HER TO HAVE HIS OWN LIFE.
    SET BOUNDARIES.
ASK YOURSELF IF YOU ARE INTO HIM/HER.

    Hope it helps. 😊♥️

You don't... if it's too much to deal with you should consider not being committed to a relationship... most girls would go head over heels for a guy who looks for them a little too much... it's not like he is waiting for you outside the restroom or asking you to walk him to work Every single day... worry when he loses interest for not feeling the same way... or when he directs his attention to someone else due to it... Bette yet, get to know him before becoming official..

I'm really sure, cause I haven't had a girlfriend. I might feel pretty honoured at first that a girl is so attached to me and shows me her affection. But I guess if it goes for too long and she gets controlling (like watching every move I do like a living security cam, and constantly checks my phone) I would get annoyed. Because I also want privacy, and I don't belong to anyone.

Break up. Women who are clingy will never change. They will pretend to, then months later explode because they didn't change and now it's his fault for no good reason.

Women who are clingy show their true colors, she's not happy unless she's depending on someone else emotionally. That's toxic

Honestly I don't mind but the solution is as simple as communicating. Just tell them how you feel and what you want in a respectful and polite way, it's as simple as that.
