I never really had that inclination, maybe in part because lots of girls I found most attractive weren't ones that turned people's heads left and right.
I did date a model one time who had that effect but instead of a trophy, I found it a burden when guys would whistle while we were holding hands in public for example (I didn't choose her -- she asked me out, and I think it was a fluke case because I think the only reason she liked me so much is that I wasn't impressed by her looks).
I am kind of egotistical in a certain way but I don't flaunt my status with a girl. I like to do it in more subtle ways if I analyze deeply and not so blatantly. I never had that sort of sense of women as a form of conquest, even if I am inclined towards the mindset of conquest. If I had any inkling of that mindset towards women, it was something I lost quite rapidly after my teenage years.11 Reply- +1 y

+1 yI mean, I would be lying if I didn’t feel any sort of way walking in public with a beautiful or sexy woman next to me. I obviously don’t get with women for the purpose of showing them off in public, but I believe there’s some biological inclination that makes it so that you want everyone to know that you can get with or attract a certain woman or caliber of women. Honestly though, I don’t care what anyone thinks of my woman, rather, what I think is the most important thing. So, if I personally feel good with her then I could be walking anywhere and getting shit from everyone and I wouldn’t care.

+1 yI know lots, and the problem they have is that they are either way too self conscience or just too self centered and snobbish to communicate with a lot of everyday people and it's very sad.
Mostly they will feel most comfortable to mingle with others like themselves.
Many are sort of forced into being self conscience because of the praise they may have constantly lavished up them and, if female, cat calls and being stared at, more than most, etc.
Those kind of things affect a persons psyche more than average people and some trophy types that have their wits about them see it as more of a curse in many ways.
A lot depends on how you are raised and the environment you grow up in and the type of love and support you have with family and friends and having great parents to raise you right.
Great question Ms White :)

Some trophy wives actually love the man they marry, and are a trophy coz they are gorgeous but often are airheads and while not stupid, they are not the brightest bulbs on the box.
The man is with them to show her off, especially to an ex wife.

A trophy for appearances alone, that's just lame. I'd only do it if I was trying to keep up a facade, like Bruce Wayne.31 Reply- +1 y

+1 ySad. Also very superficial. Someone should be with a person because they enjoy sharing their life with this person, not to be able to show off to their friends or aquitances.
For me sounds like buying a boat just because having a boat looks cool and not because you love to sail. The person might even be afraid of the sea and hate the boat, but it looks cool so they want it to brag about it. 🙄11 Reply- +1 y

It’s good to be proud and committed to whoever you’re in a relationship with but the fascination with having “trophy” girlfriends/boyfriends implies a sense of possession in a toxic manner.. and it’s an instant turn-off. Very disrespectful if you ask me.

+1 yOne of my friends is a trophy woman who always catches the attention of the rich and/or famous. Yes she is strikingly beautiful, fun to be around, and actually very intelligent, but HOLY CRAP would she be a lot to handle! I wouldn't want a trophy wife if they all have a ton of baggage and unreasonable expectations coming with them.

+1 yAnyone who wants a Trophy Person is Lonely and Pathetic and those who Settle for being a Trophy is SAD & Even More PATHETIC then the BUYER!!! The Buyer can't get Anyone on their own Personal Merits so they have to Buy the Trophy Person. But the Trophies usually can get anyone if they have Merits to Share with someone... Remember Beauty Fades...

+1 yIf all involved know exactly what the "deal" is, then its fine for them. I wouldn't make that deal personally though, I'd want a relationship for love and intimacy on basis of mutual respect-- rather than a barter system of "your looks and sex for my status and money".

Sure, you could hope for a rich trophy that you are mutually in love with.
As to just 'trophy' - depends how you get along with them, I guess. It's only ever not good if they are awful or very different from you (which I think the term largely excludes - those are called primadonas)10 Reply
