Honestly, I do my best to answer people's questions truthfully and give the best advice, but I figured this time I'd give you some unconventional advice. You can't get your mind off him because you're jealous he has a girlfriend, this may even make you more attracted to him than if he was single. What you should do is become really good friends with his girlfriend and have her join your own group of friends. She'll become part of your own crew and will make him feel a little left out and make him jealous, and then, figure out a way to have a threesome with him and his girlfriend. Also, understand that if guys are attracted to a female friend, they'll hook up if the opportunity is there as opposed to women, who, once a guy is in that abysmal friendship category, would be less likely to hook up with their guy friends because it could ruin a friendship (unless, they are really attracted to their guy friend and jealous of their girl friend) which in that case it would be Machiavellian to sabotage your guy friend's relationship so you can hook up with him which I think could totally happen, however, I honestly think you should consider a Ménage à trois especially if his girlfriend is hot and so are you because if I was him, I'd totally go for that.
There's not much you can do. Pretty much all you can do is try to be happy for him, and just pretend you don't like him. Just don't tell him you like him unless he's not with his girlfriend anymore, because you don't want to ruin his relationship, no matter how much you like him. Be glad that he's happy, and when you're with him, just ignore your feelings of attraction or jealousy. Only time can help you lose feelings for him.
