Trending & News I've had a similar predicament. What ended up happening was after 2 years of consistently liking her, I wanted to get her at her favorite coffee shop and ask her out on a date. I asked her to meet for coffee over text and she caught onto my plan prematurely and when we met next in person which happened to be later that day, she let me know she just wanted to remain friends. We're still very good friends 6 months later and we're not awkward about it at all. A part of me feels like she might have even forgotten about it. But we still hang out and have fun times, but I still have feelings for her and I hope she changes her mind eventually. What happened to not make it awkward was that I didn't tell her immediately and directly that I was going to ask her out, but context lead to that conclusion. I didn't outright say to her that I liked her, but that was assumed. This is what kept things at a low risk for me. I hope my answer helped!
I can not tell you what will happen if you tell him how you feel. However I can tell you with 100% accuracy what will happen if you do nothing. If you do nothing absolutely nothing will happen, and you will never know did you ruin a friendship or did you make the greatest possible relationship happen. No going up to the guy and putting your shit on the line is scary, REAL SCARY I have been in combat and it's not as scary as that. But do you want to go the rest of your life not knowing. It's up to you. Personally I hope you choose love. Remember you are a lean mean war machine and you own this. It's yours, he can be yours so get out there and get your man
Life is too short to hold back how you feel about someone. If you don't take the chance, you will be plagued with thoughts of "what if" & "if only"
It's better to know where you stand with him , than to live with the regret of not telling him. Whether it jepradizes your friendship or not, depends on the strength of your friendship. It will only ruin the friendship if you both allow it too.
Even if he does feel the same, that doesn't mean a relationship will work.
Playful suggest it and show it... say things like "If I were your girl..."

You could just stay friends, or you cam purpose a relationship and risk your friendship.
At the end of the day, statistically speaking, because of your age right now, it's very unlikely that either your friendship or your potentiol relationship will not last long, and that's OK. You're still a child. Live your life and snag yourself a good, decent man in your early 20's.
Funny enough this is how I ruined my relationship and my friendship in one fell swoop
I dated my best friend since 4th grade
Now we don't speak and I regret this and will regret this
Don't do this it may be what you want now but if it fails if you don't leave on good terms you'll regret it for the rest of your life and it will only make the relationship ending hurt more because you lost a best friend and a lover
Look for subtle signs
Most of people just give up because they think that other person is not feeling the same
What if he has feelings and he thinks just like you so he prefers to hide them and if you both will do that then congrats you’ll give up a potential relationship just because of your gut
Even if he doesn’t feel the same, I know it’ll be awkward but it will fade
You gotta take risk
You want a good friendship to be there tomorrow. Say what you think, tell them what you just asked a bunch of strangers who have nothing to do better with life than to be doing this like me now. Total loon i am, don't listen. But voice it and your fears.
If you can, try setting them up on a date with one of your friends. You can maintain the friendship, but at least you know they’re with someone that you believe will treat them well. It’s a lot nicer than having to directly reject them romantically.
Ill be honest with you, a lot of guys that have female friends like them, maybe its just me but a lot of friends WISH that a female would tell him her honest feelings so I really think you should tell him
It'll only get harder for you in the long run. Talk to him about it. If he doesn't feel the same, respect it. Just from personal experience, it doesn't feel good to like someone more than just friends and continue being friends with them.
If he is your true friend and you both respect and care for each other being a friend then share your thoughts with him, he will understand your feelings don't worry about loosing your friendship with him.
Honestly if you don't want to ruin your friendship try slowly but surely warming up to your friend more and more until his body language shows that he might, have the same feelings for you.
Just tell him how you feel, if he likes you back congrats but if he wants to remain friends then congrats. As long as you can have that special person in your life you'll be fine
He's a guy, there's no "friendship", he wouldn't even be talking to you if he didn't find you sexually appealing. Talk to him, you won't ruin anything.
If you're sure he doesn't feel the same way and would like to continue the friendship by not saying anything, there's your answer.
IF YOU WANT to live a normal life... just be yourself and open up to your friend about your feelings. Then let the chips fall where they land.
Then doesn't that prove that guys and girls can't be "just friends"
How can you be "friends" with a guy you "like" romantically?
Your question doesn’t match your situation. You do not end something when do don’t even know how they feel, that’s so ridiculous. If you don’t know, then you just ask like a normal human.
Just tell to your friend that u r in love with u. if ur friend understood u very well , friendship never ruin by saying these..
you should casually ask him out. if he's a guy like me, he'd not lead you on and be clear of how he sees you☺
Keep your feelings to yourself and just be friends with them.
Why do you think it would ruin the friendship?
I think you should tell him.
You say him nothing will happen to your friendship
You're screwed.
steel yourself.
Oh, you kids.
