Why does he say "Never mind" so much?

There's this guy I'm (kind of) friends with and AT LEAST twice, in every conversation, he would say never mind when I asked him what he just said or meant by that. I hate it! It makes it so hard to talk to him if he "never mind"s so much when I ask him about something.

Why does he do that?

Sometimes he says never mind even before he finishes the sentences.

Some guys simply don't like to explain everything they say. Sometimes, people are a little too uptight when talking to me and they'll ask why I said something or what I meant by something that's very obvious to me and it's tedious to keep explaining it. He probably feels like that.

I don't say "nevermind", I stop talking. I'm just saying how it is sometimes. This isn't necessarily the case with him.

i do that when I don't feel like repeating things or explaing sh*t so I say never mind to not have to do it. He might be doing it for the same reason.
