Of course. If your the type who listens to Kpop we have a problem. And no it's not cause kpop is bad music, more like the industry is around them if you actually read into stuff there forced to do songs and shit. Nvm the crazy fans who if you say anything bad about kpop they will legit say shit like "i wish a cow would eat you" lmao.
I also judge if the only songs you listen to are songs about sex. Ahem get some taste for good lyrics not just sex boring ass lines. Or songs that are just about the pop star singing that there so great compared to everyone. anyone who just wants to like someone who just clearly has too much ego are the kinda reason why we get idiots famous.
Unless if they are legit claiming something that is actually just true like Eminem he can back up what he say's about been one of the best rappers no doubt there. But he don't just do only self indulgence songs. As you can see by main of his greats songs.
i am more of talking about someone like Kanye or mumble rappers.
And honestly people who don't judge are just kinda idiots. There is a difference between judging for good reason and ignorant judging and if your not ignorant judging then that's good and what you should be doing. Not judging all together is a dumb notion if we don't judge all together how you supposed to judge if someone is someone you would get along with.
And music taste can actually indicate if you will get along with someone one of course it isn't just a 100% answer sometimes but it does in fact help.
Yes to a minimal degree. I mean, if they say they are traditional and prefer to be formal, but their playlist is full of songs like "fuck that hoe" or "drugs be my bae" (gawd I hope those aren't actual songs), then yah, I think I'm in my right to at least take caution. I've had my older sister go PISSED OFF mode at me because she constantly claimed to hate partying and those sort of people while listening to stuff like "raise ur glass" "Low" by Flo Rida, Souja boy, (similar stuff to it) and such. Meanwhile, I listen to songs with lyrics like
"We have the power make our lives what they ought to be
Reconnect with our humanity
Transcend to a higher place, accepting reality
You are the key to the life you seek
Torn asunder our destiny is in sight
This is the anthem to celebrate your life
Torn asunder our destiny is in sight
This is the anthem to celebrate your life"
and according to her, my music choice sucks and many besides her judge me negatively for it. Can't defend her logic on that and plenty peopl, e like her exist so... yah.
*she got pissed bc I pointed out how stupid her logic and hypocrisy was
Judge to some degree but it's not the type of 'oh they like pop? They must be boring/normal'
More like,'oh that's interesting, I wonder why it is they like that type of music/how they got into that type of music'
It usually gets me more curious to hear about their thoughts on music. Often it is they like something because their parents used to play that type of music around them growing up and I love hearing about such things
Not totally but I do a very very little - like you would judge a messy eater maybe 1% or 0.5% but you wouldn't hate them if they were messy - that's how I am with those who listen to weird music - I view them the same way I view messy eaters

No I don't.
It would be difficult to judge me anyway because I listen to a bit of everything.
@anniisa
If you met someone that only listens to hard-core Rap and was only about hating cops and belittling women, wouldn't you judge his character as being anti-police and negative towards women?
LOL that's a great question. Unfortunately, I do.
Music and TV shows for that matter, are different for each generation. What someone listens to now verses then is different. I guess you can call it nostalgia. Like someone 70 years old will like classic rock and someone now will like now music, Frankly I think the "now" music is shit and all the artists sound the same.
I dont really judge but I kinda get a vibe about who they are and what type of things they like. For example if they listen to spiritual music then they are probably holy or Christian, but if they listen to like pop or rap then I would think they are more open and fun.
No. I don't judge them.
Why should I? Everybody has their own preference in music. Each genre is unique in its own way. Who am I to judge? I don't make music, I'm not a musician or an artist. Even then, who am I to judge?
I listen to 8090s rock music most of the time and classical sometimes. While the people around me listen to the newer songs. It's just my preference to listen to the 8090s music. I may be called old, but I don't care.
I wouldn't judge someone by their music taste. Everyone has their own choices and tastes. Many think that If the lyrics are very disturbing then the person is also bad, this fact applies to very little amount of people. Most people like the music in the background, the instruments or the EDM playing. While people remember the lyrics, they usually like how the words are used in a musical way and not the literal meaning of it
If their favorite songs glorify...
denigrating women and doing drugs (a lot of rap),
or adulterous sex (a lot of country)
or drugs and fornication (a lot of rock), then yes.
It is important to me. I want someone that I can go to the same concerts with and when we're hanging out I want to be able to listen to the same music and both enjoy it. I don't want to just tolerate listening to each other's music for as long as we're together.
Sometimes!
However, we all like what we like!
I like Nordic folk, I like trench cafe music, I also like heavy metal and 80's as well as classical & opera.

Unfortunate! Yes i do. But am not loud about it, You okay the music that you like, don't choke me with it, and I play the music i want without bothering you with it.
I cannot NOT JUDGE a person based on what music they are listening to but one has to reach a really high threshold until it comes to that point. It's not, that I care that they like music other than what I like but there are these types of "music" out there, that has almost no amount of art and no amount of taste in it (and is basically torturing to the ears), that i question myself their mental health whether they are truly that extremely deranged. And for some subjects they really are.
Of course. If their tastes are so bad it may be hard to vibe with them
Of course. If they listen to clown posy music with blood curdling screams in the chorus, then I'm going to think differently of them in comparison to someone who listen's to country. Music is poetry, and based upon personal values. Of course you got bangers, but The weekend is within it's own vibe in comparison to Snoop. It all has to appeal to you and your personality. What kind of music you listen to forsure says a lot about you.
Not particularly, but I did once become disinterested in a friend because of his obsession with hip-hop. I don’t mind some rap myself, but if it’s all they can talk about, chances are I’m gonna start to hate it over time, and I didn’t want that, so I distanced myself from him. I do believe in “too much of a good thing”
Definitely because I’m a huge music lover and when someone listens to country (me being from the south) I automatically know how that person is
No, not at all. A person's taste in music doesn't matter to me one way or the other. I don't see that as an important part of a relationship.
I am an open minded person who is also involved in education any aspects involving music and the industry former radio disc jockey musician, etc. All music is worthy to the person who listens to it and appreciates it.
There are many more important things to judge people on. So no, I'm not a teen.
Everyone is different in their own way. We have to be proud of that. If you have a problem, then you don't know how to act, and you have to fix it.
I don't mind people having different tastes to me but if their taste is strictly mainstream music that marketed in their face then I'll view them as a lazy person who can't think for themselves and go find something they like for them. Or, if they like music that isn't actually music such as Bees in the Trap by Nicki Minaj then I'll physically hate them as a person.
