Girls, What do you miss the most out of a relationship after breaking up with a guy?

Hi! How long does the feeling of missing a guy last and what would you miss about him?

Let's say that the relationship was great. You shared a lot of stuff together.
Had the same taste in almost everything, had plans and goals together, etc.
Even your birthday was days apart and on the same month! He would sing you a song over the phone or in person on your birthday.
He cared for you, texted, called you and helped you with stuff that mattered to you.
Never cheated, lied or mistreated you.

- Be honest. Would you miss him?

I ask this because of 2 things.
1. Yes, She dumped me months ago. (But I'm doing better now, at least I honestly feel way better now.) She never mentiond why she did it. Just said that we shouldn't be in contact anymore.
2. I've been comparing her with my ex-girlfriends and their behavior lately.

Because I just found out that, I girl who rejected me back in High school has been asking around for me. That was 10 years ago!
She's been asking my closest friends if I want to get married and have kids eventually in the near future. (I'm 27 almost 28.) and I think that's funny. Don't you?

Time does heal everything, the pain is gone and I've been thinking about my ex lately. I still care for her but I'm not planning on anything. It's just out of curiosity that I decided to ask this.

I'm now in such a situation and was once also in the past. We weren't like an official couple but we passed a great time together, everything seemed perfect and we were getting along very well. And the reason for the break up was the distance in both cases and them not wanting to have something serious at the moment.

And what I miss are small things, some typical moments that were "our"... I know at some time I will be over this but it doesn't mean I will forget it. But I think, it depends on the personality of the person as well. I am very sensitive and sentimental but also I would never break up with a great guy just like that without a reason.

I like what you say. It depends on the person and the relationship. GIGS is never a good thing.

As I said, she didn't give me a reason on the day she broke up with me. But she did mention she had fear of me leaving or hurting her, she was paranoid, insecure, overanalyzing every text, word or thing I did for her. Later on she denied saying that, even though she recorded our conversation!

I do miss her. As you said, the "our" moments, places, things we used to do. I love her, but it's not up to me to go after her, it's her turn. And I'm not expecting anything from her. I'm doing fine right now but I'm open to try things in the future.

I am the same that I always am afraid of someone leaving or hurting me... But in my case because of that I'm always try to keep that person close. Sometimes too close and that makes them go...

I'm glad you are feeling good now! That's the most important. :) And time will show the rest. But I'm sure if one person cares for the other, the memories never fade especially when there was no bad break up between you two. :)

The only thing I wish is that I had the chance to tell her a lot of stuff I didn't. I even bought her a wedding ring. I was planning on asking her by April/ June but the pandemic came and all of this stuff happened. The good thing is that, she kinda left it "open". After breaking up she said "Maybe in the future, we could try again if we find each other again". I'll take it. Let's see what happens next.

Once the relationship ends, I never truly miss the person. I miss the romanticized idea of the relationship I have stuck in my mind.
With that being said, I have not met a person you've described and I cannot imagine breaking up with a guy like that. I'm not sure if I was of help c:

I think we simply run into the wrong people, mate. I have also been very genuine and loyal, well, all of it has been taken for granted. I get cheated on and then later on they try to crawl back to me. I move on knowing that I did damn great in loving them and I hope they got their lesson. Eventually we'll run into people that aren't shallow or stupid :3
