How to get someone out of your head?

Try as I might I can't stop thinking about this one person and I'm not even sure I understand why myself. I've had many a crush before. But this one seems unusually potent.

Like it was mentioned here, one thing is that you're not busy enough. But the other thing is that you can't really forget about someone if you constantly keep telling yourself you have to forget about them.. your brain just takes it as a reminder to think about the person.. and that makes you afraid what if you actually forget them? Because it's so scary to imagine that your genuine feelings might disappear! Because if something is genuine, it doesn't fade away! The thing is tho, you don't have to let go of the feelings for someone, because we can't force how we feel about people. Rather than that, try practicing your mind to accept your love towards that person, while accepting that you can be happy too, and that your happiness is independent from being with them or not. Hope that works, cus this way you still like them, but you don't absolutely feel the need and urge to be with them, rather it becomes more of a positive selfless love, which is never a bad thing, as long as you still take care of yourself and remember to do what's best for you!

Get them out of your head and tell the crush about your feelings, if it's the uncertainty that won't let you go.
Plus if it's been hard for you it's something genuine and that's rare, make sure you don't regret losing them you'll never know if the other person felt the same way and that's a super sad feeling that doesn't go away 😕

Sometimes you can't control your thoughts. Our memory can take us to thoughts, memories we sometimes don't want to remember, but we have less control over that then we think we do... Hopefully it will fade more with time 🤷🏼‍♀️
