Distance. Not just of the body but of the mind. Find new ways of occupying your mind. Take it day by day. And slowly but surely, your interest will fade.
Even better if you're critical about your relationship with the person. Because sure, people can be nice to be around and all. But they inevitably had drawbacks about them. And if you're thinking critically, you'll be able to create scenarios where their drawbacks could have been more of a hassle than they're worth. And now you don't have to experience them, you're better off in a sense.

Delete everything of them and start focusing on yourself. Practice self care, meditation. Read books, study. Learn a new language or skill. Find some new hobbies, hang out with friends and family. Just do everything to move the focus from him back on to yourself.
