I'm 70ish. I'll move for lower taxes, maybe. But the people I love and want to be with are all fairly near me.

My brother-n-law- on the other hand- found a lady on a dating site, and after 4-5 increasingly long trips across half the country to her place, he married her. Now he has found out that he is practically a live-in care-taker, given all the health issues she has, and his family members are far away.

Sure, I moved across the country for really no reason at all

I did this. I was settled in my life in Florida but the love of my life needed to be in NC. So I moved there to be with him even though all my people were still in FL. It was the best decision I ever made and I have never regretted it. We are now happily married and still here in NC.
