So my ex girlfriend (we dated for 14 months and she broke up with me in August) came over to talk last night about the breakup and to apologize for some things she said/did. We were talking on the couch for about 2 hours and we started cuddling and she was playing with my hair like she used to when we were still together. She said she didn't want to be tied down in a relationship and that she wanted to go through her rebellious phase (partying, drinking, sleeping around, etc). When I asked her if there was any chance of us getting back together in the future, she said she didn't know because it stresses her out too much to look into the future. But we cuddled and interacted like we did when we were still dating. I even showed extra affection like kissing her head and rubbing her back and she said she didn't mind when I asked if that was too much. I'm so confused because I still love her and would take her back in a heartbeat but she doesn't believe she's worthy of love and that's why she has been sleeping around. She is the only person in my 24 years in this world that I've felt this strongly towards and who actually bothered to care about me (aside from family).
Additional information: she came over around 2045 hrs and left around 0330 hrs the next morning.
Here are some questions I have: does she still love me like I love her? Does she want to get back together, but she's too afraid to tell me/do it? Should I even have any hope that she'll come back at some point? Any additional help would be greatly appreciated.
