Am I justified for breaking up? (Break up story)?

I broke up with my girlfriend about a month ago.

How it went down was that I went over to her house and was hanging out with her sister. I realized her sister was making rude judgmental remarks to me physically (you need to work on.., your neck, waist is so small, etc). This wasn't the first time also, in the past whenever I would go over she would just these remarks and my ex girlfriend would go along with it.

Shortly after, me and my ex went for a drive and I respectfully brought it up to her in a nice tone (since she would always tell me to bring issues up in a comforting tone so that she doesn't easily get upset) pretty much saying how I don't like her sister is always making these comments about me whenever I'm with them. Comes off as rude and I feel like she just has something against me. She let's out a big sigh and visibly gets angry then looks the other way as if she's trying to control herself from going crazy. 5 min of silence goes by and then I tell her "you know not communicating at all isn't going to help or fix this situation". She gets more upset and tells me 'I feel like she didn't say anything wrong". She then says why do you have to ruin the day and make this a problem with me and not go to my sister about it. I then told her I'm not trying to make this a problem or ruin the day, it's bothering and annoying me as it's always happening and I thought maybe you would have my back and speak to her about it. I've approached her sister before and she never would genuinely apologize, she would argue back for hours basically not wanting to be open minded with anything or compromise.

This is the type of stuff that really makes me think most women are solipsistic (meaning they can only observe things from their own point of view).

You go into an issue with textbook examples of what the correct way to do things are and it's like hitting a brick wall.

So the question... should you break up? Look at it like alcohol or drug use. There's use and abuse. If it starts to harm your personal life in any way, that's when it becomes a problem. It's the same with chicks... if the interaction is doing harm, probably best to end it or at least start distancing yourself from the problem.

The fact that you have to play so many games just to speak your mind as to not piss off the girlfriend sounds like a major red flag to me. Fuck having to walk on eggshells just to speak my mind and avoid pissing someone off. That seriously sounds like some horrible customer service job where you're expected to be servile and always agree with the customer. Just practicing that behavior is going to effect you for much longer than the relationship.

It's what I just said about solipsistic though... she's not going to willingly take on the problem until it's a problem for her... otherwise, it won't matter to her and just be a burden to her. Something like distancing yourself from it and the sister being pointed out as the reason, (assuming she really wants you), that's when she'll take it super serious.

Your ex's sister is a bitch and your ex didn't love you enough to defend you from her bullshit remarks.

I hope you block her on all your apps and find a new and better woman

I did block her off everything. I couldn't believe how she handled it all, it was borderline psychotic.

I'm expressing to her how I feel as a partner, and she starts shouting at me that "you ruined the day, I hate you so much, why are you making this a problem between you and i"

After everything she yelled in my face, under my breath I said "your f**ed", which was a mistake on my end obviously, but she took things even worse and threw her engagement ring in my car then quickly grabbed it knowing she fked up, and bashed her phone on my car dash.

Also this happened knowing she admittedly said her own sister is jealous of her. So to think she wouldn't have the right mind knowing her sister could possibly be trying to push a good guy away and try to tackle the issue at hand, but like you said didn't love enough I guess

After I dropped her off, her and her sister pretty much were begging to fix things but it was just too late, I checked out mentally and none of it sounded genuine

Yes it was a bit dramatic to break up with her over that but if it’s something that’s been going on a long time and genuinely bothering and affecting your relationships then doing it slowly and in a kind way might have been justified
