All of this bile against being a housewife - and how it is supposedly some kind of slavery - completely ignores the fact that the MAN is expected to, you know, go to WORK 12+ hours a day to provide for the family. If being a housewife is slavery, how is a man working in a factory or even in a corporate setting - plus in most cases an arduous daily commute - not even worse slavery? But, to RadFems, it's fine if men suffer - that isn't important - what's important is that women are "free." Men's "freedom" isn't important.

Obviously only a tiny subset of housewives would be legitimate gold-diggers, but those kinds of labels are thrown around BECAUSE of RadFems demonizing housewives, and encouraging women to behave like men and have the same goals as men - which has only made women LESS happy (men too, but, again, men's feelings don't matter). They've even infected some men's views, though I believe most men (who have been out of school at least a few years) don't believe this.

That’s pretty sexist. Most of them aren’t rich but their husband makes enough money for them to stay at home. They also have house work and take care of kids. I’d maybe only say they were a gold digger if they had a nanny , house keeper and got to spend their husbands money on anything. Or if they screwed the man over extremely badly during a divorce.

I've never heard a housewife called a gold digger. I've heard women who are dating men (sometimes multiple men at the same time) for them to buy her gifts, pay her rent, etc. gold diggers. I've seen 20-30 year old women dating/marrying rich men in their 60's-70's gold diggers. But in a marriage where the wife gives up her career to become a housewife/mother, I've never personally seen/heard it.

For some reason I've never had this issue lol. If it was my wife at home rather than me right now, I wouldn't feel that way about her. Hell, I wish it was an option, but it is not.

If anyone were to judge her negatively on that, I'd imagine it would come from other women rather than men. Also with terms much more colorful than gold digger. Is that common or something?

If a woman is a housewife she is lazy or a gold digger. If she goes to work she's a selfish pos that should have stayed home all day popping babies and is the sole reason that the west is in decline.

That being said I'd perfer if the wife next to me can earn her own money. Because if she can't even earn 1 dollar she can't spend my money.

I suppose it depends on what a housewife does. If a housewife is a mother, she most certainly has a job and is saving on the cost of hiring a nanny. But if a housewife is mainly simply house sitting...
Here's the thing I find myself in this mindset. As a woman I'd be saying "H#ll yeah!" Let's keep the Netflix and wine flowing, girl power ✊ but as the guy... I suppose a guy does not have that option and never will 🤔 as far as tradition goes... Sometimes I feel like during birth "aww it's a girl!" I never heard that before but maybe cuz they don’t make money and just looking for a free ride unless there are kids at home then I don’t see them being gold diggers , I see that as being smart considering daycares aren’t cheap , so I guess it just depends on her actions I guess , if she is just sitting around the house and barely lifting a finger and just doing what’s best for her then yes she is a gold digger , but if she is busting her ass keeping the house clean and laundry and dishes etc , then she wouldn’t be a gold digger. Back in the day it was proper for a married woman to stay home and take care of the house while her husband was at work , But females ruined that cuz of Women’s Lib , bitching and complaining that they wanted to be more independent and wanting careers etc. by that happening the economy rose and the price of things went up so nowadays it usually takes 2 incomes to support a family when back then just 1 , so women can blame themselves for being dumb lol

It's a choice and it not the choice that leads to gold, she would had even more money if she worked. So calling the gold diggers make no sense. Who calls them gold diggers? That must be women, men don't think like that. We call women who date men to take advantage of their resources and wealth and then leave when they get bored, or something like that, gold diggers.
A good housewife is what many, many men prefer. But there is reciprocity in the relationship.
