I don't think so. It's not like the anime character is capable of competing with your boyfriend. I watch a lot of anime and my boyfriends never felt threatened by any of the characters in it.

You should not do this kind of behavior if you are in a relationship it might create an insecurity in your partner, because then if the character you like looks nothing like your boyfriend/girlfriend they would be upset they don’t look like that character.
