It's partly because of radical feminists, and also partly because of losers like Rich Cooper.

He's a guy who married a single mother, got divorced, got with another single mother, she cheated on him, he still went back with her, then they split up. His advice is basically "don't date single mothers". That's it.

Nothing guys like him have to say have anything to do with helping guys to get laid or to find good women because they themselves are incapable of it.

Sure, warning guys about red flags and how to not get taken advantage of by manipulative women is alright, but then what about the positive stuff? None of it is constructive.

There might be a lot of toxicity in the modern dating scene but there are also others who do alright. It all depends on whether you have a glass half empty vs a glass half full mindset.

For example 50% of people who marry get divorced. You can look at this in two ways:

Glass half empty: if half of people who get married get divorced marriage is too risky, I'm probably going to get cheated on and divorced and there's absolutely no way I can prevent that from happening because it's completely random

Glass half full: half of people who marry stay married, they clearly did it right

Guys like Rich are glass half empty guys.

It is but for you as an individual it doesn't matter. Whether you want to get married or not is a personal choice of course, but it's the idea that everything is random, that you're powerless etc. that really fucks guys up. It's not random at all. I've been in a lot of toxic relationships (both romantic/platonic) with people not raised in the west and the toxicity often came about when they didn't seem to know how to act when I didn't agree with their understanding of morals/ethics. Whether it be in respect to what constitutes a healthy sexuality, healthy mariage, etc..
