I’ve been a little in the same situation as you, so i’m quite curious what others will say. :) the only thing you can do and what I could do is communicate... asking him what he feels, why, what he wants to change, if he still loves you, what his view is on the future, if he still wants to meet up with you, etc.
If he doesn’t even want to talk about those things then i really don’t know... because it’s necessary to talk about those things, especially in a long distance relationship.

here's what I think you should do. You should have a full on conversation to him about what this relationship is. Tell him how you feel about him/what he’s doing, and ask him how feels about you. Establish a clear understanding of what your relationship is, and or how you want to fix the current relationship you have.

My long distance relationship worked out well but most the time they fail because you have to put a lot of effort into it and communicate every day and do things Like watch movies together communicate sleep on the phone together send out packages
What I do is keeping texting mostly for arranging dates, and if I won't see my partner for a while I would call them.
Also I only date people I can see in person often.
