How do you view a person who loves their husbands / wives so much that they won't even leave if the other one cheats on them?

the lady in question is simple, honest and very beautiful. her parents are rich enough to support her and the child.  still, she wants to make it work with her husband who goes on romantic trips with the other woman (she knows his business trips aren't that frequent), sleeps with both her and the other woman, whatever gift he buys he buys an identical for his girlfriend, calls and chats his girlfriend even on family ocassions... Why won't she divorce him?

Here's what I find really intriguing about women getting married. They don't seem to know the numbers that go with it. I'll speak towards the United States.

* The average first marriage lasts only 8 years - That means if you wait a few years before having kids, there will be young ones involved when there's a divorce.

* "Infidelity" is the given reason for 30% of all divorces in the USA. "Basic incompatibility" is listed for 43%, but I suspect some of that is also infidelity.

* Lots of research has been done trying to get accurate admissions about who cheats and how often. The numbers range from 20 to 75 % ! However, here's a clever approach - one study asked Los Angeles detectives what they found. According to LA Intelligence Detective Agency the numbers are like this:

30 to 60 percent of married couples will cheat at least once in the marriage
74 percent of men and 68 percent of women admit they’d cheat if it was guaranteed they’d never get caught
60 percent of affairs start with close friends or coworkers
An average affair lasts 2 years
69 percent of marriages break up as a result of an affair being discovered

This is not what any of us want to hear. But the ugly truth is better than a beautiful lie.

So what's my point? It's not what you want to think about as you prepare for your wedding, or when you're saying vows, or on your honeymoon. Or maybe ever. But the FACT is - there's going to be cheating that gets "found out" in at least 3 out of 10 marriages, and who knows quite how much that is never found out. I'd say another 3 or 4 out of ten.

So it's not all that surprising that some spouses stick around when they find out. Maybe they both were and only one found out? Maybe they have a lot of financial equity built in, maybe it's kids, or all of the above. I don't think any "less" of someone or view them as weak for deciding to stay. I'm in no position to judge.

I think a lot of people are afraid of their surroundings, parents, family, neighbor, friends and their reaction to that "STEP" that is actually NORMAL TO TAKE when your SO cheats on you...
I'm absolutely 100% sure that CHEATING and BEATING are two things that should not be forgiven.. Not even mental abuse should be tolerated but what sense does it make to even stay with a cheater?
I'd honestly rather live alone than continue my life with a cheating punk.

Just stupid as shit really, because your allowing the cycle to continue to happen, instead of walking away talking yourself you don't deserve it your telling your partner it's ok if you cheat because I'll definitely forgive you! It's not a cycle you want!

They have allowed themselves to have no self worth or respect for themselves throughout their life. It's unfortunate and the partner probably knows it which is why they can get away with this type of behavior. They probably need help but most times you can't get them to see that.

I can’t call that love. It’s usually fear of leaving, of change, that keeps them with that person. Also, men and women usually cheat for different reasons.
