Thoughts on a 9 year age gap? I’m 20 and he’s 29. What are some of the things I should consider before going further?

The question you need to ask yourself should you pursue that kind of relationship? If you gotta ask a question 9/10 times it's not a good idea. You are barely A legal adult, who was still getting to know herself, and understanding things in this world. He has more than enough life experience being he's older than you than you do yourself. So I say that morsel is contingent on other areas of importance such as sexual history if there is any, dating history if there is any, financial means, what you both want and desire for the future for yourselves and for your partners , whether or not you're gonna get married, have children, etc. These are things you gotta think on besides other areas. But if you find it to be a concern, you do not have to pursue. I personally say you are definitely too young for this person, and if you're not comfortable with this idea, again you do not have to go through that.

Since you didn't list much details about this person besides yourself, your standard, moral, history, your background, it's central, this really numb much to say other than the fact that it's a huge age gap and it's definitely not smart for somebody of your age besides in this day and age. This is not like the 1700 or 1800s when we had matured men to some degree and mature women to some degree who understood what it was expected of them and takes relationships and marriages seriously. We are now living what they want to say 2021 committed 21st century whatever they can do whatever it is that they want. But as you already know this is why it is a lot of problems with relationships and members in the 1st place. So it's something again you need to seriously Think on. I personally would just say no because you are still very young, he's all enough to be your older brother. You have to look not only on the mentality but the maturity level as well.

Some of the things you need to consider especially if the person is unhealthy, and it also depends on your makeup as a person, you may see him as more of a brother or a father figure as he may Try to use age as a way to say that he knows more than you do. And it may be more of a fact. If he has more experience than you on a lot of areas, that can also come into question. If you get to serious arguments, a more likely we have to do with the fact that your age gaps. It also depends on what you both are truly seeking, because he will handle it much differently than you will and it's more than just your personality or background.

I am personally not a fan of huge age gaps. Especially in this day and age. I Wouldn't be dating somebody much younger than myself. And neither would I be dating somebody much older than myself. I say a person who is at least 2 years, in 4 the Max is More of a balance relationship bt man and woman. Big age gas was common many decades ago because it was about procreation, procreation, unity other families, financial means, political reasons, etc. These days you can't afford to have that kind of thing going on unless from obvious reasons and it must be mutual. However, there's a reason why such aids gaps are very rare and it's only but a few who's able to do it. If you think you're too young right now to do so don't get in it. Because that man is at age where he Should be mature enough to be able to want to get married and have something serious. Not to say you don't either but you may not be at that maturity yet to do so. Because you're still very young you have the mindset of a younger person.

Nothing. That’s really not a gap as such.

The main thing is around sexual health, not getting pregnant, consent,

after that it’s about getting to know each other.

That’s fine it’s not a big deal not a problem my past girlfriend was 12 years nine months younger than me and we did very well together and did a lot of traveling

I'd consider a 9 year age gap. to be ok. There really isn't much else to consider.
