Rhoda Penmark, the protagonist of The Bad Seed.

A mistake I made, I gave her my classr-ring to wear she lost it
and there was a sentimental meaning behind it cause my grandparents
bought all their grand-children their class-rings cause simply my
parents had no money and we were in our first year of high school
when it came up for us to purchase one

A prolonged disaster.
But then it was set up by my foster parents as a way to tie me to their greed and demean me (they are failures on every front, especially the human one, and highly jealous/envious - a bunch of past-the-due-date, wasted, often drunk, always idiotic, communists)
