Is there a certain song that reminds you of someone special every time you hear it?

A Prayer Like Any Other.
It's way past midnight, everyone asleepOutside the window it's quiet on the streetMy bags are packed, my guitar tooTaxi's coming, nothin' I can doOh Lord, keep your eye on my friendsI d just feel better knowing you're watching themI've got to roll, take a little spinWhile I m gone, keep your eye on my friendsGotta get home the only way I knowThe long old road, steady and slowOne of these days I ll come backIf the creek don t rise and stuff like thatOh Lord, keep your eye on this placeKeep it warm, keep it safeYou know I depend on your saving graceWhile I m gone keep your eye on this placeThis is just a prayer like any otherNothing more, nothing lessA prayer like any otherOne more time could you just say yesOh Lord, keep your eye on meYou know how foolish and reckless I can beLight my way up, so I can seeOh Lord, keep your eye on meOh Lord, keep your eye on my friendsOh Lord, keep your eye on this place

"Light Years"
I've used hammers made out of wood
I have played games with pieces and rules
I undeciphered tricks at the bar
But now you're gone, I haven't figured out why
I've come up with riddles and jokes about war
I've figured out numbers and what they're for
I've understood feelings and I've understood words
But how could you be taken away?
And wherever you've gone
And wherever we might go
It don't seem fair
Today just disappeared
Your light's reflected now
Reflected from afar
We were but stones
Your light made us stars
With heavy breath, awakened regrets
Back pages and days alone that could have been spent
Together, but we were miles apart
Every inch between us becomes light years now
No time to be void or save up on life
Oh, you got to spend it all
And wherever you've gone
And wherever we might go
It don't seem fair
You seemed to like it here
Your light's reflected now
Reflected from afar
We were but stones
Your light made us stars
And wherever you've gone
And wherever we might go
It don't seem fair
Today just disappeared
Your light's reflected now
Reflected from afar
We were but stones
Your light made us stars

Radiohead Creep - my best friend who passed away 3 years ago. It's the only thing that actually makes me cry (beause I never Cry in general... i'm too proud to cry lol)... but yes he was something special, and I still can't get over the fact that he is not around us anymore.
Also another reason i dissappeared from G@G for the last years lol (for those that care)

My (now ex-) wife and I learned a choreographed dance routine to the song "IOU" by Lee Greenwood and I don't hear the song often but when I do, I think of her.
Don't wanna miss a thing- Aerosmith
I took a girl on a double date to a Beastie Boys concert back when this song was popular it was out of state so we got back real late. And she fell asleep in my lap on the way home. This song played on the radio on the way back. I think I remember it because 1. It was our first date. 2. The lyrics " I could stay awake /just to hear you breathing/ watch you smile while you are sleeping/ while you're far away and dreaming. It was just a very poetic moment. Lol
"Cool Like Me" by Mike Pozner. I otherwise would have zero connection to such a random song, but it was on when I first had sex with the love of my life, effectively losing my relationship-virginity with her.
The song I lost my actual virginity to, was pretty ironic, considering it's about domestic abuse. It's a catchy song, though.
Under the bridge by Red hot chili peppers reminds me of good times with my dad. We listened to that song all the time.
Take me to the place I love.
Take me all the way.
I don't ever wanna feel
like I did that day.
This story is pretty cringe, but for me it's "Hilly's Theme" from Silver Streak. I had a successful relationship with someone, and on the first date we watched Silver Streak. We both loved that song and it became the de facto romantic music for both of us. Sadly, the relationship ended for reasons beyond the control of either of us.
Yes there is
Ha ha ha
This song reminds me of my late husband 💔
Wind beneath my wings for mom rip.
Time in a bottle for stepdad rip.
Angel by Aerosmith for my husband.
“You make my dreams come true” Daryl Hall and John Oates. My big brother used to play it for me when I was a little guy, before he went to college. A few years back he got diagnosed with bipolar disorder and he hasn’t really been the same sense.
Yes time in a bottle by Jim Croce, reminds me of my late father. Jim Croce was one of his favorite musicians.
Also many love songs to guys I liked. One of them is the song I never told you by Colbie Caillat. And that Lady Antebellum song, need you now. And the guy I was in love with had "magic" by weezer and b. o. b. as his music when you called. I hate that song now lol.
The Sky is Crying
My Dad and I would listen to blues together. ❤ 🎶
This makes me think of my parents when I was a child. It's strange because they don't listen to music I like.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/23W3wqAvsLgThis reminds me of my boyfriend. He sent it to me while I was at work one night and ever since then it's reminded me of him.
In general, I connect songs with different moments in life and people. It's pretty cool to listen to a song and that song jogs your old memories. Then, on the other hand, it sucks when certain songs bring up memories you said you didn't remember.
there's a couple of songs from the 80's that have direct meanings to a girl from my past. I still love and miss her to this day and I'm reminded of her every time I hear them on the radio (both popular, still play on radio).
I want it by juice WRLD, LMK to my first love rayn
And GO the kid laroi to the first boy i ever liked and cried for
Vital by Connor to ny boyfriend
Sharp Dressed Man by ZZ Top - reminds me of my great-uncle.
Jolene by Dolly Parton - reminds me of my late great-grandmother
Experiences yes but not specifically a person. I’d never let a person taint my love for a song just because they bought negative vibes to it
Yeah there is. S Club 7's Never Had A Dream Come True
Music acts like a marker for certain times in our life. Every song will make you think of a specific point n our past.
it always brings me back to the beginning.
Yes, when you're with me by the afters. It makes me think of my boyfriend because it's exactly how I feel.
I fell in love with a girl who didn't feel the same way.
I thought for sure that Shane Filan's Beautiful in White would be our wedding song and i would definitely have sung it for her.
Yes there is. The song " you light up my life" reminds me of my very first girlfriend
MAPS reminds me of sweetheart.
