Trending & News Don't try to get him onboard. That makes it sound like you are in charge instead of equals. To me it sounds like you views and expectations are not compatible. It is ok. Dating is about getting to know whether or not you are compatible on the major issues. In this case, you are not. Trying to change him (or him you) will just make the other person build up resentment and the relationship will end on a bad note, possibly with kids involved. Better to learn this now and part ways before things get too messy.
No, I don’t think his expectations are neither unreasonable nor unfair. Do you realize how much one income can make a family struggle? He probably will need the financial help when you’re ready to go back to work. Your kids will be fine, spend quality time together as a family outside of work. He is expecting you to contribute to the household expenses and maybe you can afford to take a vacation once in awhile. I totally get your desire to want to stay at home with the kids, but often these days, it’s not financially feasible. A marriage is a partnership. Not, “how can I get him to go along with me?” The cost of living is increasing exponentially and unless your staying home will not cause your family to struggle and you’ll be able to live comfortably on one income, you need to be working.
Well there's plenty of men who would love a housewife and be the onky breadwinner. So dump him and jump on to the next man
Why is he supposed to get onboard with you instead of you getting onboard with him? Maybe NEITHER of yo is supposed to get onboard with the other. Dating is the process of getting to know someone, not the process of changing them. If your goals and his goals don't mesh, then he is not The One.

Honestly cost of living is always going to be on the rise. You only adding to the burden rather then helping ease the load will only put a strain on your relationship. Either you learn to be a grown woman and get a job. Maybe compromise and get a part time. But if the child can go wake up, wash up, catch the bus (or you driving), come home, and do homework. You staying home doesn't add any value to the family.
Why WOULDN'T you work?
Your kids will be old enough as he says, do you expect to just spend the day having lunch with the girls and watching TV?
Everyone has to pull their weight, plus life is expensive. Go back to work, earn what you can, save, and both retire early.
Say what you think. It could be a shit test, its important to say what's on your mind
Many couples do not have a choice and both must work.
But for those that have a choice, I guess this would fall under idealistic differences.
Double income, lots of holidays. Or close family, home comforts.
If he's income is enough for the essentials in life and refused to become the bread winner than he ain't a real man...
Personally i'll never marry a girl who wants to work after marriage, with or without kids she will be a happy housewife 😊
Explain how you think it would work financially. That's probably what the sticking point is.
You get a NEW guy. One that will move the earth for you.
This dipshit thinks you should dump your kids in daycare for someone else to raise them. Total fail.
Just tell him you'll have way for energy to satisfy all his sexual desires if he lets you stay home from work
There is nothing you can say. Either work or he will leave.
look for another boyfriend, this one is not the one for you then...
probably should have found this out when you were dating, yes?
Nothing. Why are you dating a feminist soy boy in the first place?
Sounds like a weak little bitch boy who can’t support shit
Girl stop being a bum
