Why do animals like me so much?

You know they say animals are a good judge of character, especially dogs. It sounds like they can sense you're a caring, trusting person... hence why they like you so much!

I have the same issue as well. Animals tend to go towards you due to your scent, your positive energy, and etc since animals have better sense than humans. It could be the animal was socialized at a young age since animals who are well socialized at a young age are very social to other's especially strangers. If a dog is mentally ill, it could be due to abused, PTSD, or they were not well socialized at a young age. One time I was over at a friends, I was laying on their couch and one of their cat's laid on my stomach. The other cat wanted to lay on me too but the other cat attacked the cat. So I was in the middle of a catfight

Interesting, I know what you mean... I feel the same way about animals, and that they all tend to like me. Even birds... I have often had to catch a bird who was trapped in our sun room... and the fact that it will perch itself on my finger as I walk around my backyard until it finally recognizes a familiar place and flies off is always been a great pleasure of mine. Even as a male, I do get a kick out of feeling like I'm Snowwhite or some shit like that.

I suppose that animals do instinctively know what your intentions are on what you will do with them. In that, it allows them to trust and feel comfortable being with us. When you really do love animals, and you always can show that in how you act and what you do... those vibes truly project, and I do believe it is felt by all those animals that tend to like us,

Animals are naturally wary of strangers. They look for subtle clues in body language to see If its safe to approach. Social animals know very well they can get treats and a fuss from people and learn the signs of who's most likely to reward attention.

Animals are the same with me, even wild ones.
I spent 2.5 hours of a security shift in the Brisbane Botanic Garden today nursing a sick ring-tail possum, waiting for the RSPCA Animal Ambulance to arrive.
I wrapped the possum in a baby blanket and carried her with me. It appeared to comfort her.
At home, I hand feed brush-tail possums, bearded dragons, rainbow lorikeets, kangaroos, magpies, butcher birds, scrub turkeys and a pair of lace monitors (1m and 2m).

Maybe they just do. I befriended two Iguanas one time. I think the place was called Ocean Quest. I do know Quest was in the name. They both were friendly, and they acted like cats.

I'm kinda convicted that some people are more attuned to get along with animals. I find they like people who know how to be calm and gentle. Some people just click better with them.

Maybe the animals that they label as "mentally ill" are not "ill" but have characteristics that are not suitable to domestic life. If you acknowledged that these animals are not mistakes, then you will see that you aren't special.
