I don't think so. It's not bad to want a housewife, everyone has preferences. Being a housewife has its perks, small children would be better with their mom instead of a stranger who gets paid to care for them. If the guy has a good job that allows his wife to stay home, and they both agree to it, I don't see why it's wrong.
I would think the guy is sexist if he claims ALL women SHOULD stay home and shouldn't be allowed to work.
No, not sexist to have the preference.
What would be sexist is assuming that every woman should be a housewife and causing shit/harassing women who choose otherwise.
This made me think of my brother. He wants a housewife and he's always complaining about how women aren't what they used to be and real women don't exist anymore. It's like bro if she doesn't want to cook and clean and be a housewife then don't force her. Like why do you have to act like every woman is a piece of shit because they don't want to be a housewife. Some women want different things and that doesn't make them less than a housewife. It sucks to live with a woman hater. Sadly my dad raised him that way

ROFL. Watch Married with Children. Al's whining bitching attitude and embittered poor me approach to life is what you'll be signing up for after a few years.
Seriously if being a full-time mother / housewife was as grand as weaker insecure men try to make it out to be... as that is the typical man who tries that mentality, most professional working / educated men understand in today's economy that one income lifestyle is hard if not unfair to the family... why did women choose to work instead?
I don't really see how its misogynistic if thats what the wife agreed to do if they got married. A surprising amount of women realize in their mid 30's nothing is better than to be able to take like 15 to 20 years off of work to take care of a kid. XD. NOT to mention what is a guy who's planning to marry a girl going to do if all she talks about is being his baby momma XD. At that point it would be misogynistic to deny her her wish to be a mom/housewife XD.
Its only really misogyny if the husband or boyfriend is forcing the wife or girlfriend to be a house wife.
It's not sexist to want a house wife as long as you don't force every girl you date to adapt the idea of being a house wife because then you would be implying that girls are MEANT to be house wives and nothing greater (some girls go to uni so that they can be educated and have empires of their own). However if you only date girls who embrace the idea of being house wives then that means you have a preference, just like every other person and that is perfectly fine.
I fail to see how specialising work among parents is in any way, shape or form sexist. We do that all over society that people specialise in certain skills to increase efficiancy.
Same with one working partner and one stay-at-home.
Additionally the accusation in the comment that it is "lazy" is beyond ridiculous. Nothing lazy about having to provide for everyone in the family.
Gen X women tried this. I’m my area, about 80%+ of them are never married, single mothers living alone, married to a drunk and childless, or got artificial insemination and carried a child as a single mom. Every one. That was our experiment. And those were the results. If that sounds like liberation and freedom from housewife oppression, then go for it.
No, its not sexist to WANT that, if that is your happiest life thats fine, if the girl wants the same thing then great. Its only sexist if you believe all women SHOULD all be housewives and have to.
Guys, women file 80-90% of divorces and get custody and alimony in 90% of cases. Don't be her golden parachute.
If the couple have no plans for children then having a wife sitting at home makes no sense- or not to me. If kids are a part of the program than yes, a stay at home mom might be practical.
Yes, it is.
I'm not saying it's WRONG; though. Because I don't want to judge other people's lifestyles, even though I disagree with them. But it is sexist, objectively speaking.
Everything guys want is sexist they should only let women tell them what to want and think and do.
Ok ugly
no. it's preference. cause every girl is still free to say no to that. nobody is forced to be a housewife.
obviously a guy who wants that won't go for a girl who doesn't want that. so it's mutual.
Lol, don't go onto reddit... it's plagued from top to bottom with radical leftists and fanatical feminists. Never take anything there seriously.
It can only be sexist in my opinion if you try and force a girl that doesn’t prefer to be a house wife to be one.
Maybe there are girls who want to be a housewife, maybe there are man who would love such a life style?
Why some disgusting reddit nazis crave for limiting of someone's choices just because it doesn't fit in their ideology? XD
If your single income can support all the expenses and she wants to have that sort of arrangement, why not?
Not sexist if you can provide for the whole family and don't think ALL women should do that.
Its not sexist. Its normal. The aunt is a freak. Im not kidding. Me and my girlfriend have to defend ourselves to people too. Just tell them they are a freak, everyone knows thats how a normal family is with a mom who stays home.
I don't think many women these days would like to be housewives. Apart from anything else, you would need an income twice the average to make ends meet. Some fringe rel groups may support this, but I don't think many other couples would.
A part-time housewife would be good enough for me she needs to have some type of money to get her hair done by her clothes and shoes have lunch out with her relative things like that
I don't think so. I would say it's traditional not sexist unless the woman I want as a housewife is very against it
Just wanting a housewife isn't sexist but thinking all women should be housewives is.
As long as he's ok with giving away 50% of his self worth if it doesn't work out then sure why not.
I wish I could be one but most men want a career woman. I get tired of it 😢
Not necessarily sexist, but it isn't practical for many couples.
It's not sexist.. Only idiotic piece worthless of shit leftists believe otherwise.
God the commenter on that reddit post is a white knight beta cuck.. Wow.. His virtue signaling says "look at me I think he is sexist please women have sex with me"
Men like him are simply worthless. No more no less.
