My boyfriend broke up with me because of a rumour spread by some of his girl friends What should I do?

So I was together with this boy for four months and everything was going great. Then at some point, he just stopped calling and texting me and responding. A week later he told me he wanted us to break up but to stay friends. I didn't understand anything and decided to let him his own space for a bit and then ask him about it. A whole month later (now), he told me that he can't trust me anymore because apparently, I talk behind his back, which I never did. I convinced him to tell me who said that and he gave me three names of girls with whom he is friends with. I hate those girls and they hate me too so I am not surprised, but I still want my ex-boyfriend to know I never did that and that those girls are just assholes. He refuses to believe my side of the story. He is the love of my life and he is clearly unhappy with the situation as well. What should I do for him to realize that those girls are lying and that they just wanted us to break up?

Tell him if he believes them over you, you want nothing more to do with him. That will make him think.

Either he will believe you and make up with you, or he will still believe them and no longer be a friend to you. In which case, you are better off without him, as it is no use being with a guy that doesn't trust you.
