I've been waiting for him for 9 years now, is it time to move on?

We were dating for 6 months, then he went back to Canada but promised he would come back. Ever since we've been in a long-distance relationship.

It's been 9 years now and by March 10, it's gonna be exactly a decade since he left. I'm worried. He keeps postponing the year. I was 22 at the time. I've been waiting since, never got involved with anyone else.

Is it time to quit this fantasy of him coming back and forming a family? Should I move on now?

Why did he return back Canada?

Did he ever returned to see you?
What do you honestly think he has doing in Canada without you? (probably married/child/girlfriend/etc)
Answer a few of these questions to yourself. Then you will realize that “damn I should have ended it almost a decade ago”
Really sorry you got hurt, but some men are total jerks.
More on today and delete everything about him.
