I was cooking on a gas stove, and then although nothing was burned, things got smoky and the fire alarm went off. Now I am so embarrassed. Is my boyfriend going to think I'm incompetent?

So what if he does? Does being incompetent at cooking make you a bad girlfriend? Even if you are incompetent, you can just fix that. I assure you if he loved you beforehand, he still does after you messed up a meal.

Not nessisarily. If your food didn't burn it probly means it was burning cooked food that was previously spilled on the stove
