So my friend that I’ve had some benefits with is not an emotional person at all. But lately I’ve been sleeping on the couch so we can just be friends since imma be living with him and his roommates for a little. He hasn’t been able to sleep. So either he stays up or he’ll play video games in the living room all night. And it started when I stopped sleeping in bed with him. He’s literally sleeping on the floor now in the living room as I type this. He isn’t physically affectionate, he doesn’t give any compliments he once said he just likes knowing I’m here. And I don’t really know what to really do with that love language

Maybe he's just actually a little down and you comfort him make him feel less lonely. It sounds to me like his love language is quality time. His way of expressing emotions of affection is by spending time with someone or having someone spend time with him. It is mentioned in the five love language book. I'm not sure what you're trying to get out of this question but if you want to be closer to him then just hang out you don't have to say anything pick up the remote start playing the game with him. Order some take out and chill. Maybe the act of you leaving his side is affecting him since his love language seems to be quality time and you no longer share a bed with him so it would make sense you moved into the couch and now he sleeps on the floor in the living room. If you're looking for a serious relationship with him you might need to express what your love languages.

I just didn’t know how to label his love language. He doesn’t act like he likes me so I don't know if I’m interested. But there’s always mixed feelings. And I brought a guy over and my friend told him he hasn’t been sleeping for the past few days and that was the first time I heard that. And those were the days I decided to sleep on the couch. I just don’t understand him at all
