However, guilt and retribution are usually brought on by someone serving penance and repenting of their actions. Why do we repent? Mainly out of genuine guilt and fear of retribution. We all do wrong, and repent of our actions based upon guilt and fear of retribution, but at the same time we also do some good in our lives based upon the sentiment of simple generosity. It's the human condition to want to do some things out of guilt of things they have done wrong in the past, as well as fear of retribution. We are all guilty of that to a certain extent.
It depends on some people and situations.
I am generous to make other people feel good. When people are happy, it makes me happy. I am 1000% a giver and sometimes it backfires on me.
Although, I remember one time I felt guilty and decided to make up for it. My ex and I had gotten in an argument, I accidentally woke him up by rolling over and giving him a kiss and telling him I love him, he got angry. I wrote a note next to the bed telling him to wake me up when he wakes up, so we can go out to breakfast/lunch, I’ll pay, I’ll drive, and gave him money for his drive back home and to work. Not really a reason to feel guilty, but it was a verbally abusive relationship and it set him off. *shrug*
Maybe in some cases, not no I definitely don't think that's true in every situation.. Some people are kind and help others because they have a good heart ❤️
not true at all...
if it is kindness then it is genuine
everything else is pretending, out of convenience... which yes, it can happen sometimes

No. Not always. Some people have generous giving spirits. The world is full of givers and takers. Would be better with more givers.
It really upsets me when someone does something generous for another person but then is bitter about it later or acts resentful toward the person they were generous to.
A lot of people who are genuinely nice are not doing it out of guilt. Sometimes that may be the case depending on the situation but it's not very common.
Sometimes when I am too generous people realise, take advantage it sucks so that’s where the guilt hits me.
In some cases there is but not in all. I would like to believe that some people are truly kind and they just want to help others.
That’s a sad view. If there is a connection it’s made by very few.
If im kind, its likely because i actually like you or because im at work and HAVE to be kind lol
We all get Guilty at some point in our lives, So usually the only way to feel better is to be Generous.
Nah. I don't think so.
