Why is my boyfriend suddenly insisting to move in with him (he asked 3 times already)?

We met through an application. On my profile, I clearly stated ''looking for marriage and kids'' and that I'm waiting till marriage and won't move in unless I'm engaged. I don't want to lead anyone and like being straight to the point. I wanted all to know what my intention is and it isn't to be a live-in girlfriend for 4+ years.

I've been dating my boyfriend for 3 months now. He supposedly accepted me and had no problems. Now all of the sudden, he has been asking me to move in with him. He asked me 3 times to move in with him. He thinks my stance should've soften up by now and claims people change. Now he's irritated that I won't change my mind. I'm upset that he's trying to change me. He knew very well what I wanted when we met. Why is he acting all surprised I'm not changing my mind?

He's trying to get me to move in without any real promise, no timeframe... to just move in and try it. I don't want to. If he can't accept me how he met me, why even date me?

If you don't want to live with anyone before marriage, then don't.

But recognize that the majority of men do want this nowadays. (Depends what part of the globe you live on though.)

They fear the responsibility and limitations of an eternal commitment.
So for the ones who might embark on that, the compromise is to at least move in with the girl first, to test out how they will be in a F/T relationship. It's a reasonable request, and sound judgment, before making such a commitment.

But if you don't want it, don't do it. Break up with him. Try again.
Just know that most would prefer the scenario he wants.
And consider yourself lucky that he wants to live with you. Many would prefer to have some independence, have a girlfriend but still some privacy and separateness.

Yeah I don't see myself compromising on that. I don't mind breaking up and searching again. Doing a trial period isn't on my list. Thanks.

Tell him that you like him but his attitude is upsetting you. He's moving too fast for you and you need the relationship to grow at a slower rate for you to see a future in it.
Your open and direct post may have set expectations for him, way beyond what you anticipated. Perhaps you just need to reeducate him.

“Nowadays” ? You are still very young. Don’t allow anyone to pressure into doing something you don’t want.
