I guess this would count as being more "mentally ill/injured" but after I was sexually assaulted, I stayed with my brother and he was so tender and loving. We would sit on the couch and watch our favorite movies, he made me my favorite meals, I would let my feelings out and he would pet my hair to calm me down and I would just ask him to hold me tight as I felt my trauma fade away.

Quite the opposite. When I'm sick, I try to do everything myself. I hate having to rely on someone to do stuff.
Conversely I will dot on a partner if they're sick.
